^^Acacia
Zena's POV
It's hard for me to understand why Yeira would cheat on Hana because this girl is amazing! She's incredibly funny and has a childlike personality and can find humor in the simplest things. No wonder she and Yeira got along. They're kind of similar... kind of.
The two of us stayed up late last night watching movies. Now, our movie taste was in no way similar. She was into action and adventure while I was into romance. Hana groaned at having to watch my super cheesy romance movies. In retaliation, she put on John Wick, making me jump every so often.
Hana also divulged what Addy had to.d her about changing the composition of the air. I was a little pissed that she held onto that valuable information for so long, so she admitted to wanting someone to be miserable with. Hana apologized and we made up shortly after. I'll say that finding out that Addy was the reason it was nearly impossible for them to resist has changed my whole outlook on the situation. I kind of pitied Acacia and felt bad for treating her so harshly. Next time we speak, I'll-
"Hey, Z." I looked across the table. "Want to do something kind of stupid?"
"Like what?" I finished my sandwich.
"Look." She pointed at a billboard.
"Museum of Broken Relationships?"
"Ya, wanna check it out?"
"Why not?" I stood.
Hana and I finished paying for our lunch and approached the museum. We shared an amused look before entering the building. Hana and I gawked at the different exhibits and read the description on every momento. We held in our snickers because we thought we were bad, but some of these people are borderline psychotic. Jeez, I guess I've never known heartbreak until I came here. These stories are just so sad.
"I would never keep a piece of Yeira's dental floss." Hana scrunched up her face.
"What about a scab from her skin?" I pointed at the display.
"Ya, I'm hurt, but... this is a little insane."
"Ditto." I smiled.
We continued observing the pieces until we decided it was time to go. I bought Hana a souvenir from the store since she felt drawn to a specific tote bag. Hana tried to refuse, but I told her I wanted us to have a memento of this occasion. I claimed she could look back on our failed relationship and remember me. Hana playfully shoved me while we walked down the streets.
"A group of us are going to the movies tomorrow night. Jordan and Cam are begging me to get you to come." I chuckled.
"They do know I'm in a very complicated relationship, right?" She raised a brow.
"Which is why they're trying extra hard to woo you." I gave her a toothy grin, making her laugh. "But, I didn't tell them it's with my sister."
"I'm curious how they'd react to that." We entered the school grounds.
"Probably confused since I haven't told them about having a sister. Only my Italian friends know everything."
"Do you think they'd look at you differently?" We turned a corner.
"Umm... I don't know. They don't know about my real identity either. It's safer for them."
"I guess so." Hana commented. "Would you want people to fully be aware of who you are? So you never have to hide again?"
"I think it'd be a blessing and-"
I was cut off from a punch to the face. I fell down and saw Tatia towering over me in pure fury. I didn't have time to react since she picked me up and flung me across the hall. Other students stopped to stare at the scene before them. I groaned and slowly stood, only to be shoved into a wall. Tatia's eyes were red and her fangs were on display.
