Yeira's POV

Acacia and I hid in alleys to avoid being spotted by the citizens looking for quick cash. We were eventually spotted and forced to race away. The two of us broke down doors and entered houses and raced up stairs to jump into neighboring buildings. Acacia was screaming as I'd pick her up and fling myself through glass windows.

I'd have her follow me up and down fire escapes until we could create a distance between us and the crazy citizens. I fought off the demons and kicked them off buildings or threw them into pits of fire. One of them tried swiping at Acacia, so I grabbed his wrist and broke it. I then tore his arm off and kicked him down.

Acacia held my hand as we ran through the alleys. She then looked at me in a panic since our exit was cut off. I looked up and saw no one on the roofs. Acacia was confused when I swept her up in my arms. I then raced to the wall and kicked myself up. I then kicked myself from wall to wall until I reached the top.

"How can you do that?!"

"I'm just that cool." I winked and had her follow me.

We jumped down and kept running until we saw a massive concrete wall ahead. We ran to the wall and desperately looked for the opening. The demons held pitchforks and fire while chasing us. I grabbed Acacia's hand and had her run with me. We kept running until we eventually made it inside the wall.

Acacia and I didn't look backwards while dashing down the path. Acacia dragged my hand to the left and had me keep running. We didn't know where we were going, but knew to keep running.

After a while, we slowed down. I turned in a circle while walking down the cobblestone path. Acacia looked over her shoulder as well since something didn't feel right. We turned the corner and heard the sound of something moving. We turned and our eyes widened at seeing the path, we just came from, shift to something completely different.

"It's a moving maze." I muttered.

"That's not good." Acacia breathed out. "We can't track where we came from. I have no idea where we're even heading."

"I'm trying to figure out how we're to be guided towards Hell." I spoke as we walked along.

"I'm still trying to figure out what's the plan when we arrive in Hell. How do you even plan on confronting Addy? She's incredibly strong." Acacia said as we turned a corner and watched the path shift.

"And I'm a badass, so no need to worry."

"That's the opposite of reassuring." Acacia rolled her eyes. "If I was with Zena-"

"Zena, pulls her punches. I do not." I winked.

"Must you be so violent?"

"Must you be so prudish?" I scoffed.

"I'm not a prude!"

"Says the one who stutters and doesn't want to think about having sex with my sister." I jabbed.

"I think about having sex with your sister a lot!" Acacia's face turned beet red.

"Suuuuuuuuuuuure." I drawled out. "Whatever you say, elfy."

"It's just after Jethro..." She averted her eyes. I stopped and fully faced her, so she'd continue. "He hurt me so bad that... it's a work in progress, but I'm getting over it. I can be intimate with Zena without freaking out-"

"Externally freaking out." I cut her off. "I'm sure internally you still shake." She responded by averting her eyes. "Does my sister know this or does she assume everything is peachy?" Acacia's nonverbal response answered my question. "She always thinks everything is better than it really is."
