When everything was silent, my dad came to come get me from my room. He knocked softly, and I rang my little bell. He came into my room.
He's here. He said. I nodded my head. Do you want me to go with you or stay here or go with you or bake him a cake or what?
I asked him nothing above a whisper. No honey, come and meet the boy. He won't hurt you. And unless you want him to, he won't come anywhere near you. You don't have to even say anything to him.
Ok, I nod my head, but the sec any arguing happens ore any loud noises happens I'm gone. I'll be right back in my room, or even waiting in your office.
Ok sweetie. I'll make sure nothing bad happens to you. The sec anything makes you uncomfortable you go to my office and wait for me. Ok? Yes sir. I whimper nodding my head.
Now, come meet Jack Frost. He says reaching out for my hand. I take it and follow next to him. It's ok sweetie. Tooth cooes at me wrapping her arms around me.
Sandy tugs at me. He waves his hands and makes sand dust come out of his hands. I sit down and watch him. Until my eyes catch the red sack move and a person comes out of it.
There he is. Dad calls not as loudly as he'd like to. Jack Frost welcome. He smiles with a big bold smile. I watch him look around in awe following his eyes.
He glances at me. We lock eyes, I look at him. And I know that he looks familiar, but I have no idea why. The yetis pick him up and set him back down on the ground.
I hope my yetis treated you well. Oh yeah, I love being picked up and shoved into a sack to be thrown into a magic poral. Well, good that was my idea. I roll my eyes knowing that he meant that with sarcasm.
You know Bunny obviously. Yeah, obviously. He chuckles. I know that laugh. Why do I know that laugh? I asked myself, looking closely at him. And Tooth. Hi, I've heard a lot about you and your teeth.
Tooth squeals. I cover my ears. Toothy. North gestures to her. Open up let me see 'em. Are they as white as they say? Yes, it's true they truly do sparkle like freshly fallen snow.
And Sandman. Sandy? Wake up Sandy. And this is my daughter Farrah. Did you say your daughter? And Farrah? You're my "pen pal." Hi, it's nice to meet you.
"Hi, nice to meet you too." I sign. I see you're wearing the bracelet I gave you for your birthday. "It's beautiful thank you." You're more than welcome.
You can understand her? Uh, yeah. IDK how, I just know that I do. He says scratching the back of his neck. Maybe I learned it at some point. I've been in contact with your daughter for the last 6 months.
Since your birthday? "Yes daddy." Have you been here before? "Yes, daddy on my birthday he was here while you were away he came he knocked on the door, and I tried to see who was there but by the time I could get the door open to check he was gone, I made hot coco brought one to my window sill and wrote on note for the person who had been knocking, and then I went to go finish my movie and when I came back there was frost on the window and the mug was empty with a new note."
North rubbed his face, pinching the bridge of his nose. We'd never seen each other but we wrote to each other whenever I came around. Well, you're already friends with my daughter, and see actually started more or less commutating with you.
She wasn't scared when you tried to communicate with her, and the only thing she told me about was when she showed the bracelet you gave her. She usually stays away from anything new. Anything unknown to her. You're a lucky boy Jack Frost.
What else has she told you? In your little "pen pal" relationship? Nothing personal, not that either of us know much of anything aside from the fact that we're kind of lonely. He shrugs kicking up his staff.
Or that I am, not so sure about her. He frowns. But, here I am. Which is why? He questions. Why am I here? Sandy tries to tell him but he can't understand his pictures.
Wow, I might've done something really bad to get you four or sorry you five together. Am I on the naughty list? On naughty list? You hold record, but no matter, you are nice to my daughter, and she doesn't seem to be afraid of you. You've already kind of more or less been able to get her to "speak" with you.
If my daughter seems ok with you, then you are good in my books, besides none of that matters now, we are wiping clean the slate. How come? Yeah, that's what I'd like to know to? Bunny points out. That is a good question. He shakes his head.
Bunny, no arguing. Whose arguing? We're gonna end up arguing about whether or not I'm trying to argue with Frost over here. Guys, guys come on, for Farrah's sake. Come on Bunny give him a chance, you want your supposed to be best friend to like you don't you? Tooth asks in a calming voice.
Bunny flattens his ears and frowns. Ok, ok. You're right Tooth. But, Jack Frost we will tell you how come because now you are a guardian. Dad says. Music sounds, and yetis and elves gather around, Phil brings dad big guardian book. But, when an elf bring Jack special shoes and Jack starts looking upset, I get away from that room as fast as I can.
I go to my dad's office and close and lock the door, as I crawl under his desk, and huddle there. Outside Jack has stuck his staff on the ground, and says he doesn't want to be a guardian.
But then he gives Jack his whole children on the globe and Pitch is back speech, and then Jack says that they should pick someone else and then dad tells him the MIM picks that it is destiny. I'm glad I wasn't out there because Bunny and Jack did end up getting into an argument.
My dad rubs his face. Sandy pulls on him. Jack come with me. They walk around the workshop with Jack in awe. So, where did Farrah run off to? To my office, we'll meeting up with her there in a moment for now try to keep up. Whoa wait slow down I've been trying to bust in here and get a good look around this place for years.
What do you mean bust in?! Don't worry I never got past the yetis. Oh hey Phil. What's up with Farrah why doesn't she speak? Can she? She can, she's always been this way since I got her. MIM gifted me with her, she was my Christmas angel, I gained her on Christmas so we celebrate her birthday then too. We got each other 300 years ago. She won't speak, she didn't say anything until her birthday to even me for 300 years. I think from the time she was from that she came from a time period where women were to be seen and not heard, or they would regret it.
When they come to the office they knock. As they wait for me to either open the door or ring my bell. *Ring, ring* That means we can enter.
