"it's killing me, dre," punz spoke exasperatedly, shuffling his feet along the pavement.
"i don't know why you're so caught up about this," dream replied, furrowing his eyebrows at the older boy.
"i feel like shit," he said honestly.
"but why, though?" dream asked.
"i just feel like such a creep crushing on my straight friend," punz sighed, guiltily looking down at his feet.
"friends?" dream repeated with a raised eyebrow, "we've reached the friend level?"

"it's not, i swear," punz replied genuinely, dropping his voice to the same level of seriousness.
"if it starts making you feel genuinely depressed at any time, you have to promise you'll tell me," dream spoke with pleading eyes.
"i promise," punz smiled.
"promise what?" quackity chirped, both boys turning to see the ravenette walking up to them.
dream and punz shared a look, the older boy sighing before deciding it would be easier to be honest. "i like sapnap."
"yeah, we all like sapnap," quackity replied with an uninterested expression.
"no, i mean like more than platonically," punz admitted quietly, disgusted at himself.
"oh uh..." quackity trailed off, looking between the blondes, "you guys do know sapnap is-"
