"come in," ella chirped, pushing their headphones down to their neck as sapnap walked in.

"ella," he started, straight-faced.

"sapnap," they retorted with the same tone. he didn't reply, simply smiling awkwardly. "if you've just come in here to annoy me then fuck off," ella glared, "i'm on a call."

"can they hear me?"

"yes."

"could you maybe like, go on mute or something?" he asked with a sheepish smile.

"why?"

"just- please," he groaned, "it's important."

ella sighed, turning to the phone. "one second guys," they said, and sapnap watched as the screen closed down to a discord chat. "there, i left, what do you want?"

"so, you know george is gay?" he started, receiving a glare.

"sapnap, if you're just gonna rub it in then can i please go back to my call?" they asked, clearly frustrated, "i'm embarrassed enough."

"surely you didn't seriously think you had a chance?" sapnap began to laugh, cutting himself off when his sibling picked up their phone with a groan. "wait, wait, sorry," the ravenette apologised quickly, holding his hand over the phone. "i'm sorry, i'll stop talking about it, that's not why i came in."

they sighed, dropping their phone onto the bed, "okay, what is it then?"

"i uh, wanted to come out to you," he admitted, awkwardly rolling his lips into a thin line.

ella sat up quickly, staring up at him with wide eyes, "wait a minute, come out as in..."

"i'm gay."

"oh my god!" they gasped, flinging themself out of the bed to pull their brother into a hug, "yay! that's so exciting."

sapnap laughed, hugging back. "wow, i wish i gave this reaction when you came out as non-binary," he joked, "i feel bad now."

"omg wait," ella spoke seriously, pulling away from the hug. "sapnap," they started, crossing their arms over their chest, "i love and support you and everything but i swear to god if you're dating george, i will hate you forever."

"woah, woah," sapnap laughed. "no, no, no, i don't like george, don't worry," he assured, "not my type."

"how can george not be your type?" his sibling glared back at him, "he's literally perfect."

"i don't know," sapnap shrugged, "i prefer like, bulky, muscular guys."

"like?" ella urged.

"huh?"

"your eyes are practically shining sap, you've obviously got someone in mind," they pointed out.
