'I cease to exist with you two around'Ashlyn smirked as Lotte once again insulted them and rolled her eyes, pretending to gag. So, she still didn't fully approve of her relationship with Nick. That was okay. There were plenty of things Ashlyn didn't approve of either.
Like keeping her own relationship - or whatever she would call it - with Nick's brother a secret. Ashlyn thought it was selfish when she finally saw good double date opportunities.
'You still haven't made her like me yet? Aw Ash, do your job' Nick said sarcastically, rolling his eyes as his girlfriend playfully hit him. Lotte rolled her eyes and raised her eyebrows. Here they were, spread out on her couch, one minute making out and the next minute being idiots. Well, always being idiots. She hadn't remembered inviting them around either. They just appeared when she ran down to her car for something and left the door unlocked. And then Nick had given her a half assed spiel about how you don't leave doors unlocked in Reservoir.
'She doesn't like your brother either' Ashlyn said, raising one perfectly shaped eyebrow as Lotte briefly glanced down at the floor.
'Oh yeah, don't worry, it also goes the same way. He's not her biggest fan and honestly, I think he's forgotten she exists' Nick said obliviously, as Ashlyn sighed and shook her head. It was just so sad.
'So, when's Whitlock-Whore making her appearance?' She asked, changing the subject.
'She's not. I told her you guys were here and now she's staying as far away as she possibly can. Also, she wanted me to thank you for the performance you put on at the MCG the other night. It was really funny. Not' Lotte said, rolling her eyes again as she played with the bracelet around her wrist.
'Oh yeah, I've been meaning to ask you about that. Nick, sit up, I'm gonna fall' Ashlyn said, suddenly shoving her boyfriend as he smirked and moved over. His girlfriend quickly recomposed herself as she went to speak again, Nick cutting her off and giggling.
She glared at him before sighing and talking.
'What were you even doing at the game? I was surprised to see Whitlock-Whore away from her family's corporate box' she said, raising her eyebrows again. Lotte hated when she did that. It was annoying. Almost condescending. It always made you feel guilty, paired with the look in her eyes.
'I wasn't at the game' Lotte quickly said, eyes darting over to Nick.
'The oblivious cam don't lie, Sullivan. Do you have anything good to drink now? Your tap water doesn't taste the best' he said, looking down at the glass dismally. Lotte sighed. How on earth did her short tempered friend have the patience for him?
'If I didn't have coke, pepsi, lemonade, sunkist, orange juice, whatever that other ridiculous drink you mentioned earlier-'
'Ginger beer'
'Right. Ginger beer. If I didn't have any of those drinks 30 minutes ago, and nobody's been in or out of the apartment, what makes you think I'd have them now? I told you, it's water, whatever's left of the milk, or tea. Knock yourself out' Lotte said, folding her arms over her chest and leaning back in her chair. He was like a child. Give me this, give me that. So damn irritating.
'Do you have any alcohol?' He asked, smirking, joking. He knew he was getting on her nerves now.
'Oh god' Ashlyn whispered, shaking her head.
'No. I don't allow alcohol in my apartment. That's for the dickheads walking up and down broadway at night. Do you actually have anything intelligent to say? Like, anything?' Lotte asked, looking up at him and raising her head.
