'I swear to god I am going to kill him someday' Lotte growled, shaking her head as she looked from the top of the stairwell, where poor Lewis Young was being interrogated by the childish Collingwood athletes.

'You hurt her, you die' Jack said, intimidating him as he stood back and folded his arms, like his 185cm height and boyish appearance could scare off the 201cm giant. 'Mason Cox is on my team, watch out' he added, as he stood in front of Lewis and looked him up.

'I don't even get why you're here. She is TAKEN' Nathan yelled, getting all up in it too.

'What's he doing here?' Tyler moodily asked Callum, who shrugged. 'I don't know, but Gin's not a fan' he said.

'Something's going on' John Noble stated, as Tyler facepalmed. 'You don't say'

'What's wrong with you?' Lewis asked, standing back as Jack attempted to face off with him.

'Josh is my teammate and Lotte's my best friend, and you're up to something' Jack said, cocking his head back as he balled his hands into fists. Tyler and Callum cracking up laughing at him from the car.

'He knows how ridiculous he looks, right?' Tyler asked.

'Get out of my way, Ginnivan' Lewis said, shoving him to the side as he walked to the stairwell.

'How does he know who I am?' Jack asked, sounding slightly paranoid and concerned as Nathan smirked. 'Really, blondie?' He asked.

'I apologise unreservedly for their bullshit' Lotte said, letting Lewis in and sitting down on the couch. He glanced around the apartment, unsure if he should sit too.

'That Ginni certainly is a character, and I thought he was bad on the field!' He exclaimed, finally deciding to sit. 'Shoes off, this is a brand new rug' Lotte said, slapping his leg.

'Sorry' Lewis said, kicking his leather boots off and awkwardly shifting. He felt like he was imposing on something he couldn't figure out.

'In the future, just ignore the morons. One of them is exhausted and on day three of no sleep, and the other is just an idiot' Lotte explained again.

'For sure Ginnivan is a moron. I'll admit I took him high during round 23, but it was worth it just to piss him and the Collingwood fans off. He is completely unbelievable. Is he on drugs?' Lewis asked, shaking his head.

'I wouldn't think so, but it's not impossible. Like I said, day three of no sleep' Lotte said, leaning her head on her hand. Get to the point of the visit already!

The pair sat in silence, staring up at the dark screen of the switched off TV, wondering what to say. Lewis soon talked.

'Have you spoken to Ella recently?' He asked, wondering how to bring up the following conversation.

'Nope, I'm pretty sure she's done with me. That whole situation with Nick in your apartment on Brownlow night' Lotte said, reminding him. 'Ah' he said, nodding understandingly.

The apartment door suddenly opened as a sheepish Jack walked in, and sat in the chair by the couch. Lotte sighed and glared at him.

'What now?' She asked, suppressing her head full of insults.

'I'm sorry' he said, slightly making eye contact with her and Lewis. He looked away again, glancing at the coffee table, a framed photo of Lotte, Josh, Nick and Ashlyn. He'd taken it after a game.

'You need to get some sleep, Jack. You look like death warmed up' Lotte said, noticing the bags stacked up under his eyes, how jittery and nervous he was, his hair remaining unbrushed and messy.
