...

'Ella?'

Darcy Moore quietly opened up the spare bedroom door as he looked down the pitch black hallway. Seeing light coming from the bathroom, he blinked aggressively as his eyes struggled to adjust to the sudden light. He had been asleep. He had just gotten to sleep. And then, it had woken him.

'Ella? You okay? El?' He asked, as he walked down the hallway, accidentally bumping into a wall, half asleep. He tiredly rubbed his eyes as he arrived at the ajar bathroom door, where he met the lovely sounds of the poor girl violently throwing up.

'Ella?' He asked again, pushing the door open as he saw her sitting on the floor, hugging a bucket. 'I'm sorry. Go away' she begged, as he looked at her in worry.

'Can I get you something?' He asked, as she shook her head.

'I got up too quickly. It's fine. Maybe just a 24 hour thing, Darce. I'll be okay' she said, voice absolutely broken as she leaned her head back. She was incredibly pale. He could see it.

'Both you and your mother, getting sick at the same time and then refusing to let me help' Darcy said, shaking his head in disbelief as he looked down at her. He was no stranger to what was going on.

'To be fair, there isn't exactly a lot you could do for me. It'll pass, I keep telling you. Although, you could get me a glass of water. Maybe one of the Hydralite bottles too' Ella said, as he nodded in agreement. 'That I can do' he said, as he left the room. Ella leaned back against the bath, looking up at the ceiling as she felt her stomach swimming and burning. This was no new occurrence but it was getting a lot worse.

Darcy walked down to the kitchen as he looked back at the hallway and again, shook his head. He knew there was more to the reason why Ella had asked him to stay a few nights again, to 'help out' with her unwell mother. It was more to do with her and what she'd been hiding from him.
