'Trent'

Jack Ginnivan sighed as no answer came from his best friend, who was sleeping on his couch, absolutely exhausted. Tyler looked over, raising his eyebrows, too invested in an Xbox game.

'Trent!' Jack said a little louder, slightly nudging him. 'Mm' Trent groaned, irritated. He tried to swat him away with his hand and rolled over to face the back of the couch.

'He is unbelievable! He tells me to wake him up two hours before his meeting, and refuses to get up. I don't know what I'm supposed to do' Jack said, shaking his head and sitting on Trent's back and side. 'GET UP!' He yelled, but Trent just covered his face with the blanket, blocking out the noise and light. Jack fell to the floor with a thud.

'He was pretty tired when he got back last night' Zac Fisher said, from where he too was half asleep next to Tyler, Xbox remote on the arm of the couch beside him.

'Yeah, it's called weed, idiot' Tyler said tiredly, rolling his eyes again.

'It's not that. He's going through a lot more than just that right now' Jack said, sighing and putting his hands down. Zac yawned and slightly stretched, leaning his head on Tyler's shoulder and closing his eyes. 'Turn the lights off. It's too bright in here' he complained, half asleep.

'I'll turn them off when he's up, not that I'd ever do anything to help a Carlton player' Jack said, grimacing. Zac sighed. 'I'm a human being, Ginnivan!' He yelled, snapping. Tyler smirked.

'I'm a human being too, remember when you tried to rip my head off my neck like it was rubber?' Jack asked, glaring at him.

'Everyone was doing that to you, and the coach told us to!' Zac argued back, already over it.

'Nobody asked you two to stay the night, you have an apartment next door' Nathan Murphy said, tiredly tying up his shoelaces while eating a bagel.

'I'm too tired to next door...to next door go to' Zac said, sliding down Tyler's shoulder onto his chest.

'Do Carlton not tell you to sleep at night? How on earth are you two going to get through training today?' Nathan asked, taking a sip of his coffee. Tyler shrugged and moved Zac out of the way.

'I'm not playing any games anytime soon, and Zac can run on zero sleep sometimes. Especially if his girlfriend is over' Tyler said, hitting pause on the Xbox game and blinking, as if just now realising there was a whole world around him and he was actually living in it. 'What time is it?' He asked.

'6:45' Jack said, looking back at Trent. He was so exhausted, maybe it would just be fairer to let him sleep...

'I SLEPT ALL DAY?' Zac asked, suddenly jumping to life and looking around the room. Nathan went to correct him, but Jack shushed him and shook his head. 'Yeah Fisher. We're going to go and get dinner soon, we've already placed the order, you missed out' Jack lied, smirking.

'Don't listen to him, it's 6:45 in the morning and you've been on and off sleep for the last thirty minutes' Nathan said, feeling sorry for Zac, the frightened look on his face. 'It's about time he got up' Nathan added, walking over to the couch.

In one swift movement, he grasped Trent's ankles and pulled him off the couch and onto his feet. 'Morning. Breakfast. Carpool!' Nathan exclaimed, gesturing to the room, trying to show Trent that everyone was up and waiting for him.

'No, I don't have any reason to be up' Trent groaned,

'Your meeting?' Nathan reminded him, and Trent sighed, depressed as anything.

'I was hoping you'd all forget' he said, voice barely audible. Jack walked over and gave him a hug, but Trent just pulled away, not interested.

'You won't be winning any awards or getting any games with that attitude' Tyler said, pushing Zac off again for the millionth time. 'Voss is going to go nuts' he noted.
