'Is it clear?' Trent Bianco whispered, hiding around the corner in a corridor. Jack Ginnivan looked up, completely in a world of his own. 'Huh?' He asked. Trent sighed and rolled his eyes.'Is Daicos in there?' Trent asked, nervously looking around. The last two days had been hell. First, he'd been beaten by Dannika - no doubt, a girl who was TINY compared to him - and then, he'd been forced to confront his teammate with Lotte and confess the truth. And Josh didn't hit him. It was the look he gave him that drove him mad with guilt. He had to leave early. He didn't sleep well that night, tossing and turning next to his girlfriend who was still oblivious. Lotte hadn't even considered telling Trent's half. Just her own.
'Nick's gone on leave early' Jack said, anxiously tapping his foot and putting the arm of his sunglasses in his mouth.
'JOSH!' Trent exclaimed, extremely anxious. What didn't Gin understand?
'Yeah?' Carmichael asked, slowing down and looking taken aback as Beau McCreery walked beside him.
'Not you' Trent said, tiredly looking away and sighing. Carmichael gave him a look before continuing into the locker room.
'Look, if you're worried, I doubt Josh Daics will be back today. His daughter is still sick' Jack said, pushing it aside. It was the least of his worries. Something else was worrying him.
'Her mother is back in the state, Josh is out of the picture again' Trent said nervously, walking into the locker room with his bag slung over his shoulder. It was empty, apart from the odd few that sat on their locker seats on their phones.
'Morning Gin' someone said, passing Jack and Trent and smiling. He quickly disappeared.
But Trent recognised that voice all too well and almost immediately froze.
'Woah, what happened here?' Brayden Maynard asked, walking in behind them and seeing the absolute mess that was locker 8.
'Jack, you said-'
Trent turned to speak to his best friend, but found he too had snuck off. The remaining players looked at Bianco with cold, angry eyes. Betrayed eyes.
He sighed, nervously shifting from foot to foot. He didn't know what to say.
'Darce, could you pass-'
Darcy Moore suddenly yelled out and angrily stepped towards the smaller player, who almost fell back, overtaken by anxiety. The leadership team member held a valuable item of Trent's underneath his football boot on the ground.
'Jesus Christ, someone hates you' Aiden Begg mumbled, walking into the room and also getting a shock.
'Uh Trent, I don't mean to be rude, but your door is blocking my locker' Cooper Murley added, pointing to the broken locker door that laid across lockers 25, 26 and 27. Number 8 on the front.
'Where's Alex?' Trent whispered, internally panicking, barely able to think. He spun around, doing a full 180, trying to work out what to do. Taylor Adams smirked.
'You gonna go and cry to daddy? Is that really what you're gonna do?' Darcy asked, carrying on like a 10 year old and copying Trent's sad pout.
'I mean - my locker is in pieces and my things are everywhere' Trent stuttered, picking up his training guernsey off the floor. Sure enough, it had been cut into pieces. Someone had ripped it apart with their bare hands.
'Your dad's not going to help you, mate' John Noble said in a low, threatening voice as he stormed out. So much for that friendship.
'Josh' Trent said, shaking his head and angrily glaring at locker 7 - standing next to his in one peace, tidy for once. The photos that once hung up inside Trent's locker - they'd been ripped too. He noticed and grabbed the remnants of them, falling apart like the day had. He hated it, he hated that he had to fight to hold his tears back. Those photos weren't for anyone to get their hands on.
