A/N: I have become aware that a few chapters ago, the word homophobic had twice changed to homophonic due to my phone's autocorrect system and my lack of proofreading. I have decided not to change it for the sake of the funny comments 😂 I stand with the LGBQTIA+ community. My phone, however, may not....
'I don't want her in my house!'
Lotte Sullivan quietly whined, standing in the dark hallway of her in laws' house - giving her partner a FURIOUS look. So furious he slightly backed away.
'We have to work this out, Lotte' Trent said, slightly annoyed. Lotte shook her head, sighing. 'I want nothing to do with her, and I don't want it in my house' she repeated.
'Technically it's not your house, it's my parents' house' Trent said, smirking. Lotte, extremely exhausted and unwell - slapped his face. He put his hand to his now red cheek, shocked.
'Lotte, you can't run and hide from Amelia and Charlotte forever' he said, watching her shrug some nicer clothes on, and step into her boots.
'Here's the deal. All fortnight you have been with Charlotte, and her. I have been slaving away, looking after both of our twins - making sure Layla doesn't die of a massive seizure - and I get no help. I told you ages ago, Trent, if you're still interested in Amelia, I'm not interested in you' Lotte explained tiredly, sick of the constant Cold War. She grabbed her apartment keys off the wall, noticing something she hadn't seen before.
JG. Jack Ginnivan's gold ring with his initials that he found in an op shop and drove everybody crazy with, hanging off her set of keys.
'Lotte - I never said I was interested in Amelia' Trent said, watching her leave, standing on the street out the front of the house, wondering which way to go. Whether to walk up the street and catch a tram, or if she could call an Uber.
Trent sadly closed the door, returning to the lounge room, where Amelia sat with Charlotte. Makeup done to the nines, hair waved to perfection, tight clothing and a figure like she hadn't had a baby at all.
'Is she still acting like a complete and total psycho?' She asked, looking at Trent very proud. He shrugged.
'She's...I don't know' he said, sitting down on the couch and looking at Oscar, who looked up at Charlotte, in Amelia's arms.
'She's a psycho, Trent. I keep telling you. Psy-cho. She is in no way shape or form fit to be a mother' Amelia carried on, rolling her eyes and looking smug. Trent just ignored it.
'She gets the job done well' he said, not wanting to get into a big argument with Amelia about it. She glared at him.
'That sad little creature looks homeless!' She exclaimed. Again, Trent inwardly rolled his eyes.
'She doesn't judge your parenting, you probably shouldn't judge hers either. She loves Layla and Oscar' he said, the irritation in his voice rising. Amelia was beginning to lose it too.
'Trent, you and I had plans. We were always going to get engaged, and married, and have a house together with our little family - how can you just abandon it for her?' She asked, a horrified expression on her face.
'Sometimes I think I deserve a lot better than the both of you' he said, out loud by accident. Amelia's face thundered as she picked up Charlotte.
