'Ashlyn'

The young woman looked up, tears streaming down her face. The news from 7:30am still weighing quite heavily on her mind.

'What are you doing here?' She asked - looking up at the mess that was Tom De Koning - still in his wedding suit, hair and face a mess. A hint of a three day growth coming through. But as a natural blonde, it didn't suit him.

'I came because we need to talk' Tom said, completely aware that he was standing in a police station, and had just beaten another man up, in Melbourne.

'WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? HARASSING MY FAMILY MEMBERS, TELLING HIM TO GO AND TAKE HIS OWN LIFE!'

Punch.

'De Koning, you are fucking crazy. I don't even know what your problem with me is-'

Tom turned around, kneeing him straight to the stomach. The smaller player collapsed to the ground, face a bleeding mess. Tom unaware, that a girl was hiding behind the wall, recording.

'DON'T GIVE ME THAT BULLSHIT! DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'VE DONE? HE TRIED TO FUCKING LEAVE US AND IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!' Tom screamed, punching Nick one more time, happily going to battle for his younger brother. Nick, dazed, stayed down on the ground. He glanced back at the terrified, undressed Erin - who was covering herself with a bedsheet. Nick wasn't the brightest guy going around.

'I'm sorry, I didn't mean to-'

Nick stopped talking, and in a flash, stood up, slamming De Koning's head with a kitchen chair. Tom snatched it off him, hitting him back. 'DON'T FUCKING TOUCH ME!' He yelled, pushing the little weakling over again.

Nick, laying on the floor, glanced up at De Koning, suddenly breaking into laughter, finally noticing the attire. 'Ruin your wedding, did I? Is that why you're so angry at me?' He asked tauntingly.

Tom angrily kicked him in the side, before taking off - beyond furious at how Nick still couldn't see what he'd done wrong.

'I'VE GOT AN OLDER BROTHER WHO CAN DEFEND ME TOO, MATE' Nick suddenly shouted, sorely picking himself up. What a way to start the new year.

Now it was Tom's turn to laugh.

'Another little weakling. Tell you what, send him around and I might use him as my next punching bag. You midgets aren't even 6 foot. Could get a good handle on both of you' he said, leaving the house.

'I am 6 foot! EXACTLY!' Nick yelled out, but De Koning was back in his taxi - gone up the street. Erin bolted over.

'WHAT THE FUCK?' She yelled, looking at his facial injuries.

'It's nothing, girl. Just leave it. His brother's in the hospital - he needs someone else to blame' Nick said, pretending he was a hero. He grabbed the tissue box from the middle of the table, trying to stop his nose from bleeding.

'HE COULD HAVE KILLED YOU!' Erin exclaimed, terrified. Nick shrugged.

'He thinks he's so tough because of his height. He got defeated by Caleb Daniel in round 9. It was the most hilarious thing - TikTok was all over it. The De Konings - they're nothing but Mornington beach bogans. Sam can't even defend himself in a fight - and Tom loses to probably the most embarrassing person.' Nick explained, taking a seat. Erin shook her head, unconvinced.

'And I saw him almost kill you! Oh Nick, I think your nose is broken. You need to go to the hospital. I can drive you' Erin offered, very worried about him. He shook his head.
