A/N: just dropping in to let y'all know that i've officially published the first sls spinoff, oliver squared! i've had a few people asking me about ollie henry/dempsey relationship etc (thanks to chablemisspell for that inspiration boost lol) and i decided to give them their own story. i hope you enjoy!!! thanks for all the support by the way, we're almost at chapter 150 - and nearly at 20k reads. if you're still here, along for lotte's journey - i thank you, and as i replied to your comments in the earlier chapters - she did grow into a better person! her friends are also growing as people, and she is thriving as a mother and wife. we're not so close to the end - but we are less than 50 chapters away! once sls is done, we'll still have oliver squared, and i'm thrilled to announce i'm also creating another spinoff called unbelonging prodigy about danijela krivac and her career.

so yeah, lots of updates on sls future and now, to the next chapter. xo

...

'I'm so not amused'

Danijela Krivac sighed, from where she sat, laying across a couch at the football club in 42 degree heat. Her flat, toned stomach giving way to evidence that she had ended her pregnancy in some way or the other, leading her teammates to have many questions.

'What happened to Baby Rozee?' Monique Cripps asked quietly, from where she sat at a table with Lotte Bianco, Jordan Boyd and Claudia Piva. Lotte shrugged.

'She hasn't been herself since the breakup with Connor. She hasn't been near obnoxious or evil enough. I blame him for making work a lot of a safer place' Jordan replied, with a sarcastic smile.

'She was still pregnant in Croatia - I could hear her discussing the baby with the Geelong player in the car, on the way to Zagreb. She comes to my wedding two months later with a perfect body again. And alone' Lotte explained, sighing.

'Elijah, go awayyyyy' Danijela whined, from where number 20 was hovering above her, deliberately pulling at her head or laughing loudly in her ear. She suddenly struck out, punching his jaw and rolling over. 'Leave me alone' she said, sighing and going back to her phone.

Well, not going back to it per se, more likely staring at the black screen on the coffee table in front of her, occasionally touching it so it would light up. When she saw no notifications, she'd sigh again and lay down, even moodier than before.

'She looks like she's expecting a call or something' Claudia mumbled, raising her eyebrows and shaking her head. 'They think she's gonna go to Hawthorn so Josh Daicos can get the job here. Either she or Patrick will have to go, but neither of them want to' she explained.

'Patrick isn't going anywhere, trust me. And I can't see Krivac in a Hawthorn uniform. Maybe Geelong. I know she has her eye on one of their players, she's been talking about him non stop, and uploaded a photo with him and a few others from Europe. But she was almost sitting on his lap. He didn't look...I don't know, uncomfortable. He looked happy' Monique explained.

Lotte sighed. She knew who that someone was. Jack Henry. And she also knew from Sam, he was not someone Krivac wanted to get into it with. Sam had been telling her once, Jack was one of the quieter players - but the media told an otherwise story - that he had a drug problem.

'She won't be getting with Henry, Mon. Besides, she'd have too much fun killing - literally killing - his younger brother.' Jordan replied, rolling his eyes. Monique nodded, suddenly recalling all the times Krivac had complained about him, and the time she'd been arrested in Sydney for assaulting him.

'She's obsessive as anything, and she hasn't gone anywhere near Tom. She's keeping her distance from him. It's the strangest thing I ever did see' she mumbled, noticing De Koning enter the room tiredly, messing about with Lachie Fogarty and Matt Cottrell. Danijela glanced up, emotionlessly. 'Come on. Just text me. Call me' she whispered.
