'I've gotta go home'

The girl immediately ran for her suitcase and shoved everything in it angrily, all at once, as she shrugged on Josh's oversized black parka jacket. Her face was sweaty, her makeup was running and her heart was racing. She was barely dressed.

'Lotte, wait, no. What did I do wrong? Tell me and I'll fix it' Josh said. The girl bit her nails and shook her head. 'Get away from me' she said. He stood back with his hands up.

'I've gotta call Jack, I've gotta call Trent, and Ashlyn, and...how far away is the airport again? I'll get on the next flight to Australia. But I'm going home' Lotte said, stressed out of her head. She piled more things into her suitcase, not even noticing if those said things weren't hers. She grabbed her phone off the charger and shoved both into her pockets.

'Lotte, this is ridiculous. You don't know this city at all, you can't just flip out and run. And besides, do you know how much it's going to cost you to get back to Melbourne? I already have the return trip airfare ticket. Come on, just calm down' Josh said, gently placing his hand on her shoulder. She pushed him back.

'Where's my passport?' She asked, as she stumbled around the place.

'What on earth did that doctor tell you?' Josh asked incredulously, as the love of his life got into a fight with the safe, desperately trying to open it. He stood there and watched her.

'What's the...code for the...safe?' Lotte asked, out of breath as she knelt on the carpet, hand on the combination lock.

'Please just think this through' Josh said, watching her attempt to unlock it again.

'Tell me' she ordered, ignoring him. He sighed.

'It's Ivy's birthday - day and year' he said. She turned around and looked up at him, almost glaring. 'Am I supposed to know when that is?' She asked rudely.

'Considering you made national headlines of yourself that night' he said. Lotte sighed. 'Brownlow night' she said, punching in a 1 and an 8. 'What year was the kid born?' She asked.

'2015' he said, knowing he'd live to regret it. But Lotte had those crazy, psychotic eyes. She wasn't happy about something and of course, he was the only person in the way to cop it.

She quickly unlocked the safe, grabbing her passport and wallet and shoving them into her carry on bag. She pulled out her phone again as she googled ride-share services she could grab in record timing, and headed for the door.

'Lotte, wait' Josh said, surprised she was actually going through with her crazy impulsive plan. She was on an angry rampage.

'Leave me alone. No, Josh, go away. I'm fine. I can do this alone' she said, trying to push him back with her suitcase while hurrying towards the elevators.

'You don't know anything about Paris!' He exclaimed, trying to talk some sense into her. He was beginning to regret making her speak to that doctor up the road, but he'd just been so worried about her. And now she wanted out of the country.

'And you do?' Lotte asked angrily, smashing her knuckle against the down button. 'Google is telling me to get the trains. I think I'll be fine, Joshua' she said, desperately willing the lifts to hurry up and reach her level.

'You're going to get so, so lost and end up even sicker. You could get hurt, haven't you heard about the-'

'LEAVE ME ALONE, BEFORE I CALL SECURITY!' Lotte yelled, stepping into the lift and hurriedly closing the doors. Josh took one last look at her teary face and pressed the down button himself. He couldn't let her go out there. She'd have herself killed. She was barely even dressed for a start.
