38 - a MelWays and Tyler's Cap

'Brodie, have you seen Lotte anywhere? Has she been in today? No?' Josh Daicos asked, as he entered the gym at work. Brodie shook his head.

'Jack? Did she return home last night?' Ashlyn asked, as Ginnivan tiredly walked inside, looking like death himself. He too shook his head. 'I wasn't allowed to go home, I had to stay with a friend' he said, sounding embarrassed.

'Jordy?' Josh asked, as De Goey entered the gym, using his phone. 'I can't even remember what she looks like' he said, irritated someone was speaking to him and asking him of something.

'Ashlyn, after yesterday afternoon I just can't rest knowing she's not answering her phone and she's not anywhere to be seen. I'm incredibly worried' Josh said, as Ashlyn nodded. 'I'm worried too. It's definitely not like Lotte to disappear without a trace. If she does, she's usually in South Australia.' She said quietly, biting her nails as Callum Brown walked in.

'Cal, have you seen-'

'Have you heard from Tyler?' Callum asked, cutting them off. His sleepless night showed tired, bloodshot eyes, and he was tightly grasping his phone, like it might vanish.

'No' Josh said, as Ashlyn widened her eyes. 'When was the last time you heard from him?' She asked.

'Jack was in hospital, Trent had to leave, Tyler was going over to Jack's to find something. Lotte had left 15 minutes before him. Nobody has heard from Tyler since' Callum explained, looking incredibly worried as Jack bolted over and pushed Jordan out of the way. 'TYLER AND LOTTE ARE BOTH MISSING?' He asked, raising his voice.

'Lotte's awol too?' Callum asked, eyes widening. 'Do you think something could have happened at the apartment complex?' He asked.

'There was some sketchy guy following Lotte around out the front one night. She attacked him and everything, and threatened to kill him. She spent the remainder of the night in my apartment, too scared to go into her own. And she had her cat sleep over too' Jack explained, feeling his heart race as the idea of his home not being safe crossed his mind.

'Yeah, Ash and I had an incident yesterday arvo as well. Jack, what happened to him? Did he leave the premises?' Josh asked, as Jack shrugged.

'Darcy took his weapon from him and I was thrown against the concrete wall so hard I thought I'd broken something. After Darce threatened to shoot him and out him for something done years ago, he struck his face, groin, stole the gun back and ran off. We immediately reported it to HR and welfare, and even visited the police station. That's where Darcy is now - HR' Jack explained, as Callum looked on, shocked.

'Did I just hear you say Moore threatened to shoot someone?' Brodie Grundy asked, looking like he was about to faint.

'And they call me the psycho' Jordan De Goey muttered under his breath, as he left the room.

'What the hell happened?' Brodie asked, beyond shocked and worried as he joined the group, Trent Bianco also walking in. 'Morning guys' he said.

'Moore knew that guy?' Josh asked, the traumatic ordeal stripping the complete sequence of events from his mind as he struggled back to remember if Darcy had made it obvious. Ashlyn nodded.

'Lotte doesn't realise, but Darcy, Ella and their father know that man very well. Lotte's father. I didn't realise he'd been released from prison' she said, sounding scared.

'What's this about?' Trent asked, looking at his best friend as he walked up to him. 'Nothing Bianco, don't worry' Josh said firmly. Trent awkwardly looked away, feeling left out.

'I just want to know where my brother is. If he hasn't contacted me by tomorrow, I'm going to go to the police. I'm gonna have to tell mum, dad, my sister - they're going to panic. This really isn't like Tyler' Callum said, anxiously biting the inside of his cheek.
