My eyes fluttered open as I felt a set of lips on my neck. I turned over to see Alex with her head propped up looking at me.
"I new I couldn't handle waking up another morning without looking at you" she smirked.
"I'm so happy you're here" I kissed her and pulled her on top of me.
"didn't get enough of me last night?"
"I don't know if I ever could Agent Blake"
"Mmm, actually it's, doctor, baby" she whispered before leaning down and connecting her lips to mine, letting her tongue slip inside my mouth.
I hummed into her as my hand slid up her shirty and she copied my action on to me. Just then, the phone rang.
"you've got to be kidding me" she groaned as she rolled over to her cell. "hello this is Blake"
I studied her long enough to know whomever was on the other end of that call, wasn't someone she wanted to be talking to.
I sat up more and placed my hand on her thigh.
"Yes, nine o'clock. I'll be there."
As she hung up she turned to me and I knew something was up.
"I'll give you one guess as to who that was" her voice was heavy.
"Strauss"
She nodded and kicked the covers off.
"I'm sorry honey but I think we might have to finish this later, I'm supposed to meet her at headquarters in an hour."
"of course, I'll get ready. We can ride in together" I smiled reassuringly before pulling her in for one last kiss.
"I love you so much Alex"
"I love you so much too Y/n, more than you know" her voice was soft and comforting.
The two of us got ready and as we were pulling into the parking lot I turned to Alex,
"Are you going to be ok with everything"
She chuckled,
"What do you mean honey"
"I mean with Strauss and the team"
"oh yeah" she brushed it off. "quite honestly Y/n I'm not concerned about anyone or anything other than us. If you're happy then I'm happy"
I simply smiled at the incredible woman next to me as she parked the car.
"I'm happy Alex. I don't think I could be happier"
Her sparkling eyes met mine,
"I haven't either love," she leaned across the console and kissed me gently. "lets do this"
We walked into the BAU and the whole team stared wide eyed at Alex and I.
"I thought you left for Boston" Reid said with happy confusion as he gave her a hug.
"I did, but I didn't make it very far" she smirked at me.
"forget something?" Rossi looked at Blake and back at me with a knowing grin.
"I guess you could say that" she chuckled. "some things you just.." she carefully chose her words. "can't live with out"
My heart fluttered as I tried to conceal the blush in my cheeks.
"Blake, my office" Strauss called from behind us as we all turned our heads.
Alex sighed and I gave her a reassuring smile before she walked away.
Once Alex was out of earshot Morgan looked at me.
"Alright, spill it"
"what?"
"She's back?"
"yeah.."
"can I talk to you for a sec" he grabbed my arm pulling me away.
"Derek!" I scolded and gave him a confusing look.
"Listen, I know it's not my business" he sighed " but, unfortunately I care about you two idiots."
"what are you talking about?"
"Emily"
"Derek-" I start
"just here me out ok"
I hesitantly nodded.
"She loves you. Like I'm talking out of this world. And I know you two have been through hell, and now there's Alex.." he paused. "and if she makes you happy then that's great. but I don't want you and Emily to lose each other because your both stubborn as hell. So, all I'll say, is maybe instead of avoiding the situation, either kiss her or talk to her. She needs to know how you feel and quite honestly you're making me question my profiling skills because I can't tell if you are truly in love with Blake or distracting yourself from the fact that you're still in love with Emily."
"Derek, it isn't that simple. I appreciate the concern but it just isn't that clear cut" I tried to fight back the tears that were inevitable.
"Well, I think it might have to get simple pretty damn quick" he nodded behind me and once I spun around I saw a glossy eyed Emily staring at me.
And I didn't know much except I loved Alex, but I also wanted to run to Emily and hold her....
Sorry this is so short!! I need to stop making these damn stories with Blake. I can't do both in one 😭 They both just need their own bc it's too hard
