Gleaming
Twinkling

Long red hair like fire and blood cascading down her back, flowing like a deep, fresh wound. Bright blue eyes, shining and shimmering like jewels embedded in the spring sky.

Eyes like sinking ships
On waters so inviting
I almost jump in

'How could someone look this beautiful.'

But I don't like a gold rush,

She had a big, beaming smile that lit up the place charming every eye within seeing distance.

"Y-yes. I did say that." Kakashi became a stuttering fool in front of that smile as if a spell or a curse had been cast on him. One he didn't want to be released from.

I don't like anticipating
my face in a red flush

"Wait, why are you here?" The shinobi asked with a bewildered face. It's been months and seeing her face again made him feel everything he did that night. It was pleasantly torturous and he knew he shouldn't like it. Physical attraction wasn't healthy and he was someone who preferred being logical and reasonable.

Underneath his dark mask, Kakashi's face was flushed red. 'Good thing I'm wearing a mask. I can't let her see me so flustered.'

I don't like that anyone
would die to feel your touch

In the corner of his eye, Kakashi noticed all the eyes staring in their direction. He walked beside her, hands in his pockets trying to seem as cool and casual as possible. There were eyes of envy and starstruck gazes.

'Everyone's looking at her and it's as if I'm just a squid dangling beside her... But, I can't blame them.'

Everybody wants you

Kakashi couldn't take his eye off of her. The bright and innocent smile, wide eyes of the spring sky and rosy cheeks. 'Her voice sounds so nice.' Kakashi listened to her wordlessly, and Guy who saw them pass by from a distance could see the smitten look on his rival's face.

'Good for him. But, just who is that making Kakashi look so unguarded?'

Everybody wonders

"I wanted to see your face again."

Ai answered his question, leaning in slightly. Her bangs swayed and a lock of her hair fell from behind her ear. She was very well aware of her appearance and she knew how it affected people. At the influx of a beautiful, innocent smile his heart skipped a beat and a blush crept up his face. 'This is unnatural. There's something wrong with me or rather, there is something off about Ai. No that can't be.'

That was the first strike.
