Special Chapter: Incandescent Silhouette

A/n: Because the previous chapters and the following aren't sad enough and because I'm sad so everybody should be sad.

This is a what if/alternative universe like chapter, which fits more. Also, Kakashi might be a bit ooc here, but I'm not sure I see a lot of angst with a premise like this so maybe he isn't ooc like this if a lot of writers think he's capable of doing this?

The sun hung high in the sky, casting its warm rays over Konoha as a group of children gathered in a lush, green field. Kakashi, with his wild silver hair and serious demeanor, led the group. Beside him were his energetic and ever-competitive friend Gai, the gentle and kind Rin, and the ever-enthusiastic Obito. Today, they had a special guest: Nhira Uzumaki-Aibelle, a noble lady who visited Konoha every summer.

Nhira, dressed in a delicate summer kimono, looked at her friends with a mixture of excitement and apprehension. She cherished these moments away from the rigid protocols of the White Tower. She always enjoyed her summers in the place that raised her shinobi father.

"Alright, guys," Kakashi said, glancing at Nhira with a small smile. "We need to come up with something fun and safe for everyone."

Gai, always bursting with energy, struck a dynamic pose. "How about a race around the field? We can—"

"No, Gai," Rin interrupted gently, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Nhira can't join us if it's too strenuous."

Obito, his goggles glinting in the sunlight, piped up. "What about a scavenger hunt? We can look for flowers and interesting stones. It's safe and fun!"

Nhira's eyes lit up at the suggestion. "I’d love that. It sounds like a wonderful idea."

Kakashi nodded approvingly. "A scavenger hunt it is. We'll split into teams. Rin and I will be one team, and Nhira can team up with Gai and Obito."

They quickly agreed on the rules and set off, laughter and excitement filling the air. The field, dotted with wildflowers and interesting nooks, provided the perfect setting for their adventure.

Nhira, Gai, and Obito moved at a comfortable pace, with Gai pointing out various flowers and Obito eagerly picking up stones and leaves. "Look, Nhira!" Obito exclaimed, holding up a shiny pebble. "This one looks like a tiny egg!"

Nhira giggled, her nervousness fading away as she enjoyed the simple pleasures of the hunt.

Meanwhile, Kakashi and Rin worked quietly and efficiently, gathering their own treasures. Rin picked a bouquet of vibrant flowers, while Kakashi found a few unique stones. Despite their focus, they kept an eye on Nhira, making sure she was having fun without overexerting herself.

As the afternoon wore on, the groups reconvened under a large oak tree, sharing their finds with each other. Gai, ever the showman, presented their collection with a flourish. "Behold! The most amazing assortment of nature's treasures!"

Nhira laughed, her cheeks flushed with happiness. "Thank you, Gai. This was truly wonderful."

Kakashi and Rin laid out their own collection, and everyone admired the various items, swapping stories of how they found each one. The sense of camaraderie and joy was palpable.

As they settled down on the grass, Kakashi leaned back, looking at Nhira with a contented smile. "I'm glad you could join us, Nhira. It wouldn't have been the same without you."

Nhira's heart warmed at his words. "Thank you, Kakashi. You all made this summer unforgettable."

Obito, grinning widely, added, "And next summer, we'll find even more amazing things!"
