The winter months could be seen in the rear view as spring rolled around. The cool weather had long gone and the temperatures were rising by the day. Whereas days seemed shorter during the winter months, the days were long for the spring season. There are a lot of people who hate the cold weather with a passion and those are the people that anticipate the warmer weather. It gives space for them to go out more, host outside gatherings, and even leave a few windows up to let the fresh air in.

It was March the 11th, a few days after Zaire's birthday. He didn't do much except host a dinner at his apartment for anyone who wanted to show up. He regretted the open invites when Dominique showed up bearing gifts but quickly had to correct his attitude when Renae and Assyria talked some sense into him.

He just couldn't see himself liking her for the simple fact that his mom was no longer alive and although Dominique wasn't intending to replace Yanna, Zaire felt as if that's what his father was trying to do.

The rest of the family unintentionally got to meet Essence and she was not prepared. When Assyria told her that Zaire was having a small birthday dinner, Essence assumed it would just be the three. That was until she showed up at a two-bedroom apartment full of people. Ready to flee the scene was her first thought but she went against it and stuck it out.

She picked up on a lot of tense vibes but shook it off. She was a stranger to everyone, she didn't expect to be welcomed with open arms even though that's how she was raised. She was in a different environment and realized it would take some getting used to.

It was noon. The sun was resting high in the pretty blue skies as a light breeze traveled with the winds. Lucky had just finished his third physical therapy session of the week and would admit that he was worn out. He opted out of doing occupational therapy because he didn't see the purpose in it when his memory and speech were intact.

With his PT, Patricia had been putting it to him for three weeks straight. Lucky was stuck trying to figure out if she was paying him back for being mean, or if she was trying to teach him a lesson for trying to disobey her orders. Either way, she made her point and he learned. He was happy that he no longer had to use the wheelchair but hated that he still had to walk with a cane.

Since he was familiar with staying fit, it didn't take his legs long to regain proper strength. But he did only have about fifty percent back and was desperately trying to up it to at least seventy. Patricia told him that he would most likely reach that level in three months but Lucky being Lucky, was trying to knock it down to one.

He couldn't stand longer than fifteen minutes and if he sat or laid a certain way, the pain in his lower back became unbearable to manage. But he was alive, so he tried not to complain as much.

As far as Ava's situation, giving up the pills was a lot harder than she had assumed. Of course, Elise was shocked to hear about how she's been upping her doses and taking the pills throughout the day instead of as instructed. That was the first warning she told Ava. Both women knew that the Benzo prescription was common and known as a safe choice but the patient and prescriber had to monitor treatment correctly.

Ava was only supposed to use it during the night but messed up taking them during the day; twice at that. After suggesting a detox, Elise agreed to prescribe SSRIs as long as Lucky monitored her. Lucky would have preferred for Ava to not have to take anything but sometimes a person needed therapy and medication to heal and find a balance.

Dressed in a sunflower two-piece set, with a pair of jelly sandals on her tiny feet, Zora rocked cute yellow bows in her tiny ponytails.  While Lucky was in the middle of his session, Ava decided to take Zora to get her immunization shots. To Ava's surprise, Zora only flinched and whined for a few minutes and then stared at her as if she were used to the pain. It may have been the funniest thing Ava has ever witnessed and it made her day a lot better knowing she caught it on video.
