"I mean... if you see it dat way, I would just tell you to stay away from hot topics like dat. Ain't saying you're wrong but it sounds like y'all might have misinterpreted what tha' other meant... buttttttt tha' questions she directed toward you was a lil iffy," King explained to Renae as he swiped through the PowerPoint that Kairo setup for the land he wanted the family to live on.
"I like the woman... I do, but I feel like she was lowkey tryna attack me... you know it was tearing me up 'cause I fucked around and called Kaari," she laughed, sitting on the side of the bed as she powered on her iPad.
King was amused. It was rare for Renae to go to one of their kids for advice so he knew she was upset, "What did she say? Same thing I said?" he asked.
"Yes and no... she just told me not to be so quick to take offense but also said she understood why I felt some type of way. You know..." she paused, "I don't think people realize how much I've changed... I'm pretty sure if this was a few years ago, I would be inviting that woman to catch an ass whooping."
King smirked, cutting his eyes at her, "How do you know she can't fight? I'm pretty sure Kwan ain't gon' fuck around with someone who can't defend themselves."
Renae tossed a pillow at him, "Now when did I say she can't fight? I'm just saying... you know what I meant, see you tryna be funny," she squinted at him.
"She gon' fuck around and give you a run for your money, you know how dem quiet ones are," he continued with his antics.
Renae cut her eyes at him, "Kingston."
"I'm playing," he laughed, "you so sensitive, we were just talking about dat today as well, das' where our kids get it from. I'm jokingggg," he leaned over and nipped her chin, "quit pouting."
"And what's wrong with being sensitive? You're one to talk, last I checked, you couldn't stand it when I turned my emotions off, so make up your mind KING-STONNNNNNNNNNNNN."
King busted out laughing, "I wonder about you sometimes," he laughed harder.
"King, bye!" she laughed, "'Cause you ain't wrapped too tight."
"But you married me," he shot back.
"Don't act like you're allllll that and a bag of chips," she rolled her neck, "it's a blessing to be with me, fuck is you talm 'bout?"
Amused, King stared at her with a smirk, "now you jacking my lingo?"
"How many years I been around you?" she quirked a brow, "at this point, I am you."
"Can't nobody do me better than me, nice try tho," he winked at her.
"Boy bye," she laughed, laying back and holding her iPad in the air, "I was thinking about asking Kaari or Ray to speak to the girls at the detention center but I'm not sure if Ray would want to... she does have a lot on her plate now."
"I think Kaari would be a better fit... being dat she had her moment when trying to find herself and where she fits in. Ray... I don't think Ray will be able to relate to young girls in juvie... not saying it's impossible but when you think about Ray and Kaari, those two are different for special reasons," he told her.
"I thought the same, I just didn't want to feel as if I was leaving her out," she admitted.
"She wouldn't feel dat way. Knowing Ray, she probably would have agreed to do it but wouldn't know what tha' hell to say or do."
"You right," she chuckled, "I need to set up a one-on-one date for us, she doesn't come over here anymore... that's kind of weird."
"She's dealing with a divorce, Nae," he reminded, "dis part of her life will be different for her, if she needed help, she'd reach out and you know if she doesn't, Kaari will. Kaari always keeping an eye on her."
