It was noon, the sun was high and bright, the skies were clear and the atmosphere was great. Today was a lazy day for everyone. A typical day on the beach, not wanting to do much other than prepare for the good vacation to come to an end. Michelle and Kayla, unfortunately, had to leave two days ago and Yonas and Kelly sadly had to head back late last night.
There weren't many interactions with Dominique like everyone had expected. It was even a shock to Renae and Ary with how quickly she left without notice. Of course Kwan knew but that was about it. That only added to the many reasons why Zaire didn't like her. The vacation was something everyone needed but it seemed that once things began to clear out, a lot of weird energy began circulating.
With 1 day left until the trip ended, tension was a bit heavy for Lucky but he was doing his best to remain in good spirits. He and King would be leaving a night after they returned to the states, and the more Lucky thought about it, the more he felt as if he was doing things all wrong. Ava had reassured him and told him that she'd be okay in his absence but Lucky wanted more time with her. He wanted more time with their daughter. She was growing right before their eyes and trying her best to form words.
In his heart, Lucky knew that there was a big chance that he'd miss her first words and first steps. He hoped he wouldn't but time waited for no one.
"Hasn't anybody told you, you do not have to dance every damn where?" Dajon playfully mushed Renae as she and Ary danced in the sand with Neela.
"Mind your business, chump," she plucked his forehead before turning away.
"Got yo chump," he chuckled, joining the men. "Spark me up," he grinned at Lucky before he could close the cigar box.
"Feigning ass," Lucky laughed, "been dying to get one."
"Stop being stingy," Dajon mushed him before sitting down. "I think I done put on like eight pounds being out here."
"Deadass," King agreed, "food was good as hell."
"Facts," Tamir replied, "I need to take vacations more often."
"Something we all say but never do," King stated. "Ain't you getting back to tha' NBA?"
"I gotta get my jaw checked one last time."
Lucky laughed to himself. He almost forgot about breaking his jaw.
"At least yo ass healed quick," Dajon attempted to lighten the mood.
"Lesson learned," he shrugged.
"Precisely," Kairo coolly replied before making his way toward Zora and Ava.
"Mir come here real quick, dis damn bwoy acting brand new!"
"He is a kid!" Dajon laughed at the annoyance plastered on Kaari's face.
"Tryna eat sand! TAMIR!"
"Lord," sighing, Tamir put his drink down and headed over.
King laughed to himself. Omari was doing to Kaari what she did to he and Renae.
"When y'all leaving?" Dajon glanced between King and Lucky.
Lucky shrugged, "I ain't tryna talk about dat."
"Feel you," lying back, Dajon focused on the cigar.
Silence fell upon the group briefly before Dajon spoke, "Dante gonna be my only kid... shit got me a lil fucked up."
"Yo wife can't have anymore?" Lucky quizzed.
"Technically, yeah... it's just a lot of extra shit. She waited too late basically."
