"Their babysitter was working with the FBI? What in the world? How did Lucky find out?" Kelly asked Kairo as they shopped around Lidl.
"It's Luck," Kairo chuckled, "I think the giveaway was finding out the house was bugged for a second time."
Kelly shook her head, "I wish people would leave this family alone... do you think they'll mess with you next just because?"
"If they do, they won't like tha' outcome," he replied as he examined the bag of frozen salmon.
"Are you excited for next year?" She asked as she grabbed a few frozen bags of broccoli and Brussels sprouts.
"I am," he smiled, hugging her from behind, "I was serious about a courthouse wedding."
"I know and if we don't agree on anything small, then I'll go with your option."
"I'll give you until after Christmas," he told her before grabbing some frozen corn on the cob.
"So now you're putting me on a schedule?" She smirked.
Kairo chuckled, "I am dis time, had me waiting long enough," he admitted.
"For valid reasons," she reminded, "how many kids do you plan on trying to have?"
Shocked by her question, Kairo thought for a while before answering, "two or three... you?"
"Let's see how we do with one."
"Sounds fair to me," he shrugged, "who will tha' Godparents be?"
"I would assume Ava and Lucky," she smiled softly, "did you have someone else in mind?"
Amused, Kairo shook his head, "not at all, just wanna make sure you're good with it."
"Of course I am, I need to set up another date with Ava too. Feel like I haven't talked to her in years."
"You are dramatic, you went out for breakfast tha' other day,"
"But I haven't texted her today," she huffed.
Kairo laughed, "Kellz you need more friends."
Gasping, she swatted his arm away, "I have friends, I just like being with my in-laws."
"And they like being with your mean self."
"I am not mean!" She pinched his arm, "Kai I am tired of you coming for me, do you want to fight in these folks' store?!"
Amused at some of the customers laughing at them, Kairo stared at Kelly, "you can beat me?"
"Maybe," she folded her arms.
"Word?" His voice softened as he towered over her.
"Kai moveeee!" She laughed. "Tryna get us fined."
"Stop playing with me," he winked, "you know you can't back up your words."
"Duly noted," she made her way towards the case of waters.
Thinking about how he was going to have her folded later, Kairo laughed to himself as he grabbed a few more things.
"I heard that you've been hanging out with Sinclair Nash... I thought you weren't into dating?" Laiya snickered as she and Dante walked their neighborhood.
"How did you hear that and who said we were dating? We are friends, she's helping me learn ASL."
"I know a few people on campus,"
"Why you in my business?" He jokingly asked.
"'Cause I'm shocked your butt is even giving a woman attention. I used to think you might end up... you know," she bent her wrist.
