Seojun looked at me, pouted his lips, and put his index finger over it, signaling me to shut up. I could hear muffled voices down below and couldn't hear what they were saying.
I heard Mr. Park's voice. "You were just enthusiastic these days. That is just a hallucination. It happens sometimes when you sleep less. I'm giving you some medicine. Have it before I go to sleep." I heard him.
Miss. Akai also replied something but I can't quite catch it. And then the voices stopped. Seojun got up from the floor and my eyes followed his figure.
He lazily dropped himself on the bed and started yawning. I got up from the floor as well when I heard Miss. Akai's heels click on the floor, meaning that she's returning to her floor.
I silently went towards Seojun's bed and bent in front of it, my knees on the floor and my hands on the edge of the bed. He was laying with his back on the bed so I gently poked his cheeks.
He turned his body sideways to look at me. I blinked at him before speaking. "What happened to Miss Akai? What medicines were Mr. Park talking about?" I asked him lowly.
He yawned again and shrugged his shoulders. "God knows what happened." He closed his eyes with his body still facing me.
"Why were you sleeping on the floor?" I questioned him again. He raised his hand with his eyes still closed and patted my head.
"Don't worry about it. Today was a hectic day for me so I just thought of sleeping on the cold floor since the temperature was so high." He explained himself and I nodded.
I got up from the floor and plopped myself back on the bed. I took off my jacket which left me with my half-sleeved t-shirt and shorts.
"I didn't know that our room was just above Mr. Park's chamber." I randomly mumbled and looked at Seojun. He was sleeping peacefully while hugging a pillow. I shifted to my side and closed my eyes. With the thoughts of Miss. Akai in my mind I drifted off to sleep.
I woke up with someone shaking me up vigorously. I squinted my eyes to look at Seojun looking at me frantically and trying to wake me up. I joined my eyes trying to adjust to the sunlight entering the room.
"What happened?" I rasped. Seojun gave me the jacket that I left on the headboard of the bed and said. "Get up! There's something wrong in the hostel. Miss Akai isn't opening up her door."
I took the jacket from him before wrapping it over my body and both of us went to the third floor in front of Miss Akai's room. We saw that all of the members of the hostel were crowding in front of her room.
Some were banging on it while some were calling out for her name. It was about 8 am right now and Miss Akai would never sleep in so late. And even if she does why isn't she opening up after so much commotion.
"We need to break in." Someone said. Mr. Park bobbed his head. "You're right. Seojun, break it!" He ordered Seojun. Seojun quickly went to the door and I also followed him.
He started pushing the door with his side harshly. And after a few tries, the lock broke. And the sight in front of us made us all gasp and some of the girls started screaming in fear.
Right in front of the door laid the body of Miss Akai. There was a slit across her throat, dried blood over it. It seemed as if she was wearing a red muffler around her neck. A kitchen knife in her hand and blood pooling around her upper body.
I was silent at the scene but still, my eyes were twitching badly. Seojun quickly came to me and wrapped his left over my head and the other hand circled my back while pulling me closer to him. He buried my face in his chest preventing me from seeing this scene. I heard Mr. Park's voice soon after who was saying.
"This is so terrifying. In the end, Miss. Akai had to commit suicide?"
