That day the entire evening I sat beside my window and waited for the twins to come in. But to my dismay, they didn't come.

I woke up the next morning and saw that the main door was open, indicating that they had arrived. Perhaps they arrived at some point during the night, so I shrugged it off, and my attention was always shifted to them now.

That very morning I saw a long, dark-haired lady leaving the house and walking away holding a bag in her hand.

That is how I figured out that she was Sunbin's twin. She was short, just like her sister. I thought maybe she was going shopping seeing the bag in her hand since Sunbin was sleeping in the house after working the night at the media company. But I noticed that it was late afternoon, yet she didn't return.

She returned to her home at dawn at about 5 pm. She didn't ring the doorbell of the main door, and I saw her walk through the passageway and enter her house through the sliding window without saying a word.

I thought maybe she didn't want to wake up her sister who was sleeping inside so I didn't find it strange to enter the house using the window.

Later at night, I asked Sungjae to go to their house and ask if there is any problem with the necessities. They were new here. I was of their father's age.

Hence, I considered keeping a check on their comfort. He walked over and pressed the doorbell. I saw that the long-haired lady unlocked the door.

Sungjae talked to her. I observed that she lifted her face to look at me. Then she walked with Sungjae to come to my house.

She walked into my room. I had seen her earlier from far away. This was the first time I am seeing her in front of me.

She was quite similar to her sister but she had a mole above her lips and her hair was long and black. She showed more feminity than her sister.

She bowed to me and introduced herself as Kang Sora. She said that she didn't have any problems with accommodations and the house was well furnished too.

I asked her to sit and showed my respect and started talking formally to her. But she said that she was of my daughter's age so I can simply drop off the formalities.

I agreed to her request and suggested to her that if they require any maids for the house then I can send one to them. She said that both of them can manage the daily chores all by themselves.

I nodded my head and then asked her about what I saw in the morning. I asked her if she left the house early in the morning and returned late at dawn.

Where was she all day? She said that she was a teacher at a school so she leaves for her work in the morning.

I listened to her and she excused herself by saying that she needs to cook dinner for them since Sunbin needs to leave for work later.

I was quite fascinated by the two decent girls. They won't cause any trouble and I was calmed at the thought.

The other house was rented to a Malaysian family. I was not good at communicating with them since I didn't know their language and neither did English.

So I didn't interact much with them. At the end of every month, one of them used to come and give me the rent and return without saying any word.

But the two respectful and decent Korean girls as my tenants touched my heart. They were so humble and gracious that I was happy with their attitude.

After the night I saw that Sunbin left the house wearing jeans, a shirt, and an overcoat around her body. I knew that she would stay out of the house the entire night and will return home at dusk.

After this, they started living their normal lifestyle and maintained their regular flow of life. Sora went to her school in the morning, and return home in the evening.

Sunbin left the house at night but I wasn't aware of when she returns. They were quite introverted all in all. I didn't see any guests visiting them and neither did any friends pass by someday.

The electric lights of the house are switched off after Sunbin leaves at night. Only in the front room, I could see the faint light of candles.

And that light as well diminishes at midnight. Maybe Sora goes to sleep at that time so I shrugged it off.

I was really curious about their lifestyle so whenever I got a chance I used to spy on them through my window, using my binoculars.

I couldn't see much inside their house. The main door was always closed and the curtains draped down the front windows. Only at night, the light of the candle could be figured out.

One fine Sunday morning, Sora was having a conversation with me in my room. I asked her if her sister was sleeping and she nodded her head.

I also asked her why doesn't she uses candles instead of lights in the evening after Sunbin leaves the house.

She was caught off guard by my question. She said that because of having poor eyesight, she avoids using too many lights in the room and prefers candles. She asked me if I spy on their home.

I agreed to her shamelessly saying that I have no other work to do all day so I stare at the people outside my home.

She looked at me sadly and sympathized with me and promised me that she will visit me often. Sometimes she will send her sister in as well. But suddenly one night,

I noticed something.
