Astrid headed down town for a little shop on her own, checking out all the stores in Beacon Hills. They weren't as good as New Orleans, but they were okay. Besides, the walk alone was good for her. She needed to clear her mind. She wanted to give Beacon Hills a chance but so far it's been weird. First, some guy showed up at her house in the middle of the afternoon shouting for her cousin. Then Derek acted weird when he showed up. And Malia. She didn't understand. They were... hiding something and she wanted to know what.

One good thing, however, that had happened since her arrival in Beacon Hills was how polite some of the girls were to her. Especially Lydia and Allison. She, for some reason, smiled whenever thinking of Allison. Her beauty...

It was starting to get late but she wanted to stop by one more shop. The music shop. She took a look around for some records. She was really into old music. Reminded her of her mum. She was really into them. She grew up with songs like those. She grabbed just a few records then placed them on the front desk.

The man picked them up and looked at them. 'Pop and Folk? Good choices, lady.'

'Thanks.' She smiled.

The man scanned the records. He placed the records in a bag then handed it to Astrid. 'You have taste, lady. Billy Joel is a good one. Enjoy.' He smiled. Astrid left the store.

The sun set and it was dark. The only light from the street lights. But a lot of them were very dim. She was heading down a street with very few street lights when she heard some rustling coming from a bush. She stopped and looked around. She couldn't see anything, however. So, she brushed it off and continued walking. But then she heard something again. This time she saw a black figure. She tried to walk closer to get a better look, but a rush of noise grew louder. By the time she realised what was happening, a car drove up and hit her. She bounded off the car and rolled along the road until she hit the grass.

She lay on the grass. Then the person in the car got out and rushed over to her. 'Are you okay?' The man said.

Astrid groaned in response. She looked beside her to see if the figure was still there. A little blurred at first, but nothing.

'Are you okay?' He asked again.

'Dad! What are you doing?' Yelled a familiar voice. They crouched down in front of her. It was Allison. 'Astrid, are you okay? Dad, are you trying to kill her?'

'Of course not! I didn't see her.' Replied her dad.

Astrid groaned and rubbed her head as she tried to sit back up.

'Careful.' Allison warned. She helped Astrid to sit. 'Are you okay?'

'I'm fine.'

'I am so sorry.' Allison's dad said.

'It's okay. I should probably watch where I'm walking.'

Allison grabbed Astrid's hands to help her stand. Astrid rubbed her head once she got to her feet. 'Are you sure you're okay?'

'I'll be fine. Thank you.'

'Let me give you a ride home. It's the least I can do.' Said Allison's dad.

'No, it's okay. My house isn't that far from here. But, thanks for the offer, Mr Argent.'

'Please, call me Chris.'

Astrid smiled. She turned to Allison. 'I'll see you at school tomorrow.' She gave her a smile and took off, walking back to her cousin's loft.

Once arriving, she walked up the stairs and to her bedroom. She dropped her bags on the floor and laid down on her bed. She felt a little bit dizzy from the accident. Then a knock on her bedroom door.
