So I was bored, like I always am, and decided to watch cartoons with my (5 year old) brother. My dad was also watching.
For what reason..HELL IF I KNOW.
My brother was watching Paw Patrol.
Heard of it? Good you'll understand what I'm talking about.
If not...just play along.
We were watching the episode where they told the story of how Ryder found Rubble.
Thing is..Rubble was a stray, and was apparently starving when Ryder found him. At least I think that's what they said, I wasn't paying attention that much.... :P
But seriously Nick Jr.?
What happened to teaching kids things?
The bright colors?
The happiness?
The annoying as fuck pigs that make me want to hit my T.V. with a hammer?
*Shakes head* Things have changed....apparently.
But that isn't the good part.
Me, being a random person I am, got the nerve to ask a question...one I would regret entirely.
Who lets a kid (Ryder) do all this shit...alone?

Because what you're about to read is my dad's answer to my question....
His Answer:
It's like Batman. When Ryder was a kid his parents were murdered in front of him, and a dog rescued him before the murderer could kill him too. Ever since that dog saved him, Ryder has always been close with dogs.
His parents were rich so Ryder inherited their money, like Batman did. A few years after his parent's death he used that money to start a rescue program. He trained lost and abandoned dogs to rescue people, so what happened to his parents never happened again.
And the only reason people let a kid like Ryder do this, on his own, is because people are afraid that Ryder will try to kill himself if he goes into a depressed state.
Or...he's a 20 year old midget who looks like a child.
