35 : Wounded Wounds

Nanahimik ang lahat matapos iyong sabihin ni Kuza Thori. I heard snarlings ang growlings all over the pack. Mukhang hindi nila nagustuhan ang sinabi ko at sagot ko sa kanilang Alpha. When I looked at their Luna, it doesn't seem to bother her. She seems to even hate the idea of being in this same situation.

"It's a pleasure meeting you," their Luna who quickly looked at Shawn. She gave him a quick look from his head to toe. Shawn's nakedness is making her quite entertained. "...Antara Loki, Nikolai Fera. The night is getting deeper. You should go,"

"Teka lang," si Kuza Thori. Sandaling ngumiti saka muling bumaling sa amin. "Even my Luna is forbidden to hold your stomach, Antara Loki?"

Sa tono ng kaniyang pananalita ay mahahalatang may nais siyang makitang reaksyon sa akin. May nais siyang palabasin sa kaniyang mga sinasabi.

"Shame. I thought my Luna holding your stomach will bless her future pregnancy for she will surely bear my cubs." he continued. "She will birth Thori wolves in the Inui homes."

I heaved a sigh. Pinapakiramdaman ko rin ang reaksyon ng lahat lalo na ang kay Nikolai at Shawn. I even felt Nikolai's nose again on my side, protecting me and making sure no one will touch me. Shawn on the other hand seems mad looking at Kuza Thori and what he just said. Doon na rin ako nag-uumpisang magtaka lalo na't nakikita kong iba ang sinasabi ng mga mata ng bagong Luna.

They're...in pain.

"You are vowed to protect her."

No. Hindi kaya?

"I know you're in love with my Luna, Shawn Inui. You were vowed to protect her. You were planned to make her your Luna as soon as Shalailanie and Diego let go of the title." si Kuza Thori muli. "Ngunit huli na ang lahat. She is mine. I marked her mine. My Luna."

"Stop assuming things, Kuza Thori." ngumiti nang sarkastiko si Shawn. "I may be vowed to protect her, but I was not planning on making her my Luna."

Diego's little sister made it clear for me. Her eyes, those are the eyes that a wolf makes whenever she is in pain. Maybe hearing Shawn Inui telling her he doesn't have any feelings for her is hurting her. Nang tingnan ko naman si Shawn ay mukhang wala talaga. He doesn't seem to care just like before. He doesn't feel the same way towards her because if he did, he should have marked her long time ago. And it makes sense that he is not afraid nor mad that she became a Thori's Luna.

"Go on." she said. "Mag-iingat kayo sa pag-uwi. The next time we see each other, we're enemies."

"You broke me first, Deana." hindi ko inaasahang bigla-biglang sasagot si Shawn. Ramdam ko iyong galit niya habang nakatingin sa bagong Luna na akma na sanang aalis. He calls her Deana. If I am not mistaken, it is the first time I heard her name. "You rejected me first and now..."

"Fuck you. I was still trying my best to become a Luna you deserve and attain the same strength you have." she said.

Hindi ko inaasahan ang mga sumunod na nangyari. Dean turned into her wolf self and attacked Shawn madly. Shawn did not have any choice but to block her mad attacks with just his bare hands. Deana is moving out of her emotions. She cannot control herself and it did not make the Alpha happy. Medyo natutuwa siya sa nakikita ngunit mas lamang iyong pagkainis. I can see him snarling. Surely, he does not want his Luna be in danger. Nag-aakma na rin siyang pumigil at kung saka-saka ay tulungan si Deana pero nakita kong nakaabang lang si Biya at nangangalit na rin sa may tabi nina Shawn. She's just waiting for us and our sign.
