Riley's P.O.V
I woke up in my bed with the sun shining through my curtains. I looked up at the clock that was in my room and saw that it was 9:00am. I rubbed my eyes trying to remember what happened yesterday. Turns out Luke's a cool kid. It's still hard to believe that I had a friend like him, and even friends like the ones I saw in the hospital. After I tried to get Luke off my bed we just sat on my floor and talked the whole time. He told me all the things I used to do, the things we all did together. It seemed so surreal, the best I can describe it would have to be like reading a new book. A whole new story, and with each chapter I'm learning something new about the character, and that character just so happened to be me.

He thinks I can't see the sadness in his eyes but, I can. His want for me to remember and everyone else's is probably the only thing making me work this hard. I remember nothing at all. I remember my mom, my fathers passing, the bullying at school, but I'm guessing that all happened in Florida and now I'm here in Australia. I sat up in bed soaking up every piece of information Luke provided me with last night until, I heard a small sound on my window, as if something was hitting the glass. I was scared to check what it was until curiosity got the best of me and I found myself getting up and walking towards my window. I grabbed my curtain and yanked it open.

I found Luke across my window sticking his head out of what I assumed was his window from his room. "Hey Riley you ready for today, cause I am",he said grinning. "What? I just got up, I didn't know I was supposed to be ready",I said still rubbing my eyes from staying up late just thinking. "We'll get ready and I'll be at your door in 30 minutes",he said. "Wait where are we going",I said practically yelling at him as he disappeared from the window sill. I rolled my eyes stepping away from the window and looked around my room.

"Now where in the world did I keep my clothes",I said aloud as I looked around. I finally found them in a cabinet by my bed. I grabbed out a random pair of black jeans and an overly sized sweater that I don't remember having and headed to what I figured out was my bathroom to take a quick shower. It took me 10 minutes to figure out how to even turn the shower on, so now that I found out how to start it, I had to take an even faster shower.

I got out and threw my clothes on and dried my hair. I remember that in Florida I used to never wear makeup, and I'm guessing in Australia it was the same concept. I threw my hair into a quick messy bun and put my glasses on.

I looked around for my bracelets and locket, it's like wherever I go they go. I looked around for some shoes to wear and found only a pair of combat boots which I remember wearing in Florida. I put them on and walked out of my room into the hallway. I walked down and awkwardly sat on the couch. Everything was different, it was like living in a strangers house. My mom came down the hallway and saw me sitting already ready to go. "Why are you all ready and dressed up",she questioned, smiling at me. "Oh that um...Luke kid said he was taking me out. He seems like a nice kid, not bad looking either",I said shrugging.

"Oh just wait until I tell you what you just said about Luke when you remember things again",she said laughing. I looked away confused until I heard a knock on the door. I opened it to reveal a tall blonde guy waiting on the other side. "Oh hi Riley....ready to go",he asked awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck. "Sure um...yah lets go",I said stepping out. I got out and closed the door. We started walking to well....I don't know where but, he led the way. "Where are we off to Luke",I asked trudging behind him. "I'm going to take you to our school. Just the outside though it's closed because of vacation",he said as he kept walking. "So tell me about yourself. What should I know about you",I said curiously.

"Well um my names Luke Hemmings, I've lived in Australia all my life. My best friends are Michael, Calum, Ashton, and you. I have two brothers, Ben and Jack, and a mum named Liz and my dad named Andrew. My favorite food is pizza, and my world got brighter when you came along",he said finally looking back and smiling at me. I felt my cheeks burn up a bit, he seemed so nice, no wonder we got along. "Just tell me if your tired Ri and we can stop",he said. "Ri? Who's that",I asked. "That was my nickname for you, I gave it too you one day when we were playing guitar in your room",he explained. "Guitar? You play, wow I didn't know that. Well you deserve a nickname too",I said thinking.

"How about Lukey",he suggested. "No that name sucks",I said laughing. "If only you knew that you gave me that nickname",he said chuckling. "Wow that's the worst nickname ever, I just added a "y" to the end of your name",I said chuckling. "Well it wasn't too clever but it was the nickname you gave me so I like it",he said. "Well "Lukey" are we here yet",I asked putting air quotes on his nickname. "Yes actually we are here",he said showcasing a large school. "Here's the school where we all met you in. Where everything started. Where we all became best friends",he said looking up at the school.

"Do you remember this? Do you remember this at all",he asked. "No...I'm sorry Luke",I said looking down at the ground.

Little did he know that I was already recalling some memories already. I was surprised thinking my memory would never come back, let alone be back so quickly. I think I was starting remember small small things like turning in class to see the guy with cool red hair smiling back at me, or even eating lunch at a table with them surrounding me. But I decided now was not the time to say that I remember things. Because even though I remember small things, doesn't mean I'll remember it all. I don't want to excite anyone...I don't want to disappoint anyone...I don't want to let anyone down. Especially not my friends and what's left of my family, and especially not Luke.
