49. Where Are You Going?

Lukes P.O.V
"That was such a great movie",I said as the credits began to roll in. After no response I looked down to see the girl I was hugging in my arms had fallen asleep. We had just finished the Lego Movie so she probably fell asleep halfway through. It was already around 10:00 and Riley's mum came at around 8 when Riley was awake. She offered for me to sleepover, which I said yes to, after calling my mum.

I looked down at Riley sleeping in my arms. I watched as her chest moved up and down because of her deep breathing. Her nose would twitch here and there and I couldn't help but laugh. She was so perfect, I don't know why'd she choose me over all the other guys she could have. I know if people were to see her as we do, everyone would love her. But I'm selfish and honest enough to say I'm happy she landed in our group. I'm happy she's mine.

I slid under from Riley and got up to clean up a bit. I grabbed our popcorn bowl and our soda cans and went to the kitchen throwing them out and putting them away. I tidied up the place a bit, getting rid of any left over mess. I went over to Riley last and scooped her up into my open arms. I picked her up bridal style and began walking her over to her room, careful not to bump into things or worst, drop her. She stirred a bit but only to adjust her self and wrap her arms around me for warmth. I smiled knowing she was back and of course knowing she liked me too. I kicked the door open slightly for us to go through.

I turned on the light and put Riley down in her bed. She instantly crawled under her covers, as if it was already an instinct. I was supposed to sleep in Riley's room, but I thought it'd be better if I slept on the couch. But I'm happy with the trust amount of trust her mums given me, knowing I would never do anything to hurt Riley, never. I started to back away from her bed until I heard her call my name softly. "Luke",she called out slightly. "Yeah",I said turning to face her with a smile on my face. "Luke I have to take my medication",she said sleepily as she sat up in her bed.

"Which ones",I asked her. "The ones for night time",she said back. "Do you want me to get them for you",I asked. "Yes please. thank you Luke",she said still sleepy. I went back the the kitchen and saw her meds laid out on the counter. I grabbed the night medication, which was three different bottles, and some water. I walked back into her room and gave it to her, and she took them thanking me and drinking them down one by one. She took the bottles and the glass of water and leaned over to put them on top of her night stand.

"Thank you so much Luke",she said rubbing her eyes. "No problem Ri",i said smiling and walking away. "Luke where are you going",she called after me. "I'm going to sleep on the couch", I told her. "No don't sleep there your back will hurt",she said taking off end glasses and putting them aside. "I mean it's cool",I said . "No I can't let you sleep there when there's a full bed here", she said laying back down. "I mean I can just sleep in the pullout bed if you'd like",I said scratching the back on my neck.

"No Luke you're far to big. Remember you're a giant",she said giggling at her joke. "I-I mean I don't know if it's oka-",I said stumbling over my words. "Luke shut up, my mom trusts you so much,she and everyone knows you'd never do anything to hurt me let alone anyone, unless needed",she said. "Even when needed you wouldn't hurt anyone",she said laughing. "Hey,hey no need for insults",I said laughing. I gave up knowing Riley would keep trying to make me not sleep on the couch, and went over to the other side of the laid down next to her.

"Luke why are you making this so awkward",she said to me. "I'm not, I'm just naturally awkward",I said laughing a bit. "Your just sleeping next to me nothing else"she said laughing. I got under the blanket and closed my eyes. "Night Lukey",she said. "Night Ri",I said right back.
