27. You're In A Band?!

Luke's P.O.V
I finished cleaning up the kitchen and living room and well, I thought I was finished, until I remembered that there was still water in Riley's room. I let out a small laugh remembering her red face right after I threw water at her. I grabbed the rag again and walked through Riley's hallway until I was faced with the door of her room. "Riley, I finished cleaning the kitchen and living room now I just need to clean your room",I said while knocking. "Yeah hold up Luke I'm changing",she said through the door. I sat down on the ground while waiting for her.

After what felt like an hour, she finally opened the door to let me in. She was wearing sweatpants, a t-shirt, and her hair up in a bun. "Are you gonna come in Luke",she said standing to the side. "Umm uh yah sorry",I said walking through. I found the puddle of water in the corner from when I threw it at her face, and I knelt down soaking up the water. I looked up to see Riley sitting on her bed with a guitar in her hands.

"You play guitar",I asked surprised. "Yah am I not supposed to",she said giggling. "No no...I mean yah you're allowed, I just didn't know you played",I said standing up and sitting next to her. "Do you play",she asked slightly moving her fingers among the frets. "Yes I do actually. Michael, Calum, Ashton and I are in a band",I said nonchalantly. "WHAT WHY DIDNT YOU GUYS EVER TELL ME",she said shoving my shoulder. "Well I didn't think it was that big of a deal",I said shrugging ,"We're okay. We've recently just started all together". "What that is a big deal! THATS SO COOL",said Riley yelling.

"Can you play something for me",she asked handing her guitar over. "I don't know......" "Oh come on Luke I'm sure you sound like an angel",she said smiling at me. "Well we haven't really played for anyone, except or families",I said staring blankly at her guitar. "It's fine, I won't judge",she said. "Ok fine. Well um I'll play this song called Gotta Get Out",I said. I grabbed the guitar and started strumming out the notes and began to sing.

I stopped there finishing my little jam out with Riley. I looked to her side scared of what she would think. I looked at her face unable to tell her emotion. "Sorry was that bad", I said putting her guitar on her bed. "LUKE YOU HAVE A TALENT! THAT WAS SO GOOD",she said jumping off her bed to add to her excitement. "Really", I said looking up to her as my face turned red. I never played for anyone before and to hear that someone else likes our music feels so good.

"Who is that song by",she asked. "Oh it's an original, we wrote it",I said. "No flipping way. That was so good! You guys need to play in other places so people will see how great you guys really are",she said walking around her room. "Do you guys have a name for your band",she asked. "Um well Michael thought of Bromance, I think it might fit us",I said. "Bro-BROMANCE",she said suddenly bursting in a fit of laughter. "What we had nothing else",I said honestly. "Ok well definitely not bromance for sure",she said jumping back onto her bed.

"We will think of the name later. But we need to get you guys out there. Maybe play at parks, or schools, or anywhere as long as there's people",she said rambling off. "Woah woah Riley we should talk about all this when they all come over, or later let's enjoy this sleep over",I said. "Ok fine Luke. But we have to think of these soon because you guys have potential I mean I haven't heard the others but if you guys can come up with a song like that I know you guys are going to be awesome no doubt about that",she said looking straight at my eyes. "Thanks Ri that means a lot",I said smiling at her. "Ri",she asked tilting her head a bit. "Yah that's your nick name now",I stated.

"Ok well your um....Lukey",she asked. "Yah sure mines better though. All you did was add a "y" to my name",I said laughing. "Well you can add a "y" to my name but I already have one",she said laughing. "Okay well why not-". *Ding Dong* "That must be them",she said pushing herself off the bed and running towards the door. "Hey wait up",I called after her. She ran to the door and pulled it open revealing an excited group of people. "Hey everyone glad you can make it", she squealed,"Come in",she said pulling the door open wide.
