Why? Draco Malfoy X Reader

End of Year 3

Today was day of the execution of Buckbeak.
My father and Draco's father were doing everything in their power to do so.

We stood near a stone as we crouched so they wouldn't see.
Draco was watching Buckbeak through his binoculars.

"Did I tell you?" I began, gaining Draco's, Crabbe's, and Macnair's attention.

"My father is letting me keep the hippogriff's head. I don't know what to do with it. I'll give it to you, Draco."

"I think I'll donate it to the Gryffindor's common room." Draco sneered.

We heard leaves crunch behind us.
We turn to see who it is.

"Look who's here." Crabbe says.

"Ah, come to see the show?" I ask with a fake smile.
"You!" Granger angrily says as she rushes to me.
"You foul, loathsome, evil, little cockroach." She puts her wand up to my neck.
I couldn't escape as she backed me into the stone.

"You don't have the guts." I spat as I tilted my head forwards.

Granger just tilted my head back again while applying more pressure on her wand.

"Hermione, no!" Weasley exclaimed.
"She's not worth it."

Granger thought for a moment.
Then she slowly put down her wand and turned away.

"Coward." I say under my breath as I chuckle.

All of a sudden, she brings her fist in contact with my face.
A strong push knocked me down.

"l/n! are you okay?" I heard Crabbe exclaim as he helped me up.

I get up with the help of Draco and Crabbe as I hold my nose.

"Let's go." Macnair says and we follow him up the hill.

"Quick, run." Crabbe hurried behind me.

"You'll pay for that one, you filthy mudblood!" Draco yelled as we ran up into the castle.

"Not a word to anyone about this, understood?" I told the boys and they all nod.

By the time we got to the common room, the pain of my nose had almost gone away.

"I never knew that mudblood could throw a punch." I say as we sit down on the couch.

They all begin to grab a snack from the table in front of us.

"Draco, do you still have the candy we bought at Honeyduke's?" I ask.

"Yeah, it's in the cabinet in my dormitory. Go get them, if you'd like." Draco asked before taking a bite of a small piece of bread.

I head to the boy's dormitory.
I better do this quick, before someone catches me.
I look into Draco's cabinet and found the snacks.
I grab a box of pumpkin pasties and a small black box caught my eye.
I place the pumpkin pasties down on his bed and take out the box.

I flip the top open and found a silver necklace with the letter D as the charm.

Under it had a small note. It read,

"To my one and only, y/n."

I felt myself gasp.

"What are you doing?"

I look up in a frightened way.
Draco was standing in the doorway.

"Uh..." I felt myself stammering.
He looked at what I was holding.

"You found it." He says sort of disappointed.
He walks into the room.

"I'm sorry, Draco. I didn't mean to. My curiosity just got the best of me." I apologize as I hand him the box.
