First Quarrel

I don't want to assume things without basis, but this— what's happening now— is something that I don't need basis to prove what I think it is! I'm sure of it. It's him, the same man who took and ruined my previous mission— a supposed to be a success mission of mine!

Even though wearing a face mask and I can't fully see the appearance. But I just know that he is a man! I don't know who is he in the organization, but the fact that he knows something about my mission, he's somewhat big in the organization.

He didn't really cared at all that I am almost looking at him as if I'm gonna kill him with just my doe eyes glaring at him. He's busy checking something on the two Los Baños.

He is this arrogant? Acting like he didn't just stole and gonna ruin someone's mission? Before his hand touched the chain in the cuff to possibly drag with him the two Los Baños, I pulled it from him. Making the two, scared Los Baños dragged by me. They stepped beside me around three steps and stopped when they saw the man in front of us, the woman just suddenly sob.

Nilingon ko ang babae at gustong patulugin nalang.

"What? Scared now?" I asked, sarcastically.

She continued and it became loud that I got irritated. I don't want to waste my time stopping her, and making her unconscious might not be a good idea, I can't carry her.

I felt someone's presence slowly fading. The arrogant guy! I looked in front of me and he's not there anymore! I just looked away for a minute!

Binitawan ko ang kadena sa posas at hinabol ang lalaking naglalakad na paalis. Hindi naman ito nagmamadali ngunit sa tangkad niya ay mabilis talaga itong makakapaglakad paalis.

Bago pa siya mawala sa vision ko at sa paligid, inilabas ko na ang dagger ko at ibinato sa direksyon niya. Saglit akong nahinto at namilog ang mata nang masalo niya ang dagger ko saktong pagharap niya sa direksyon ko. No, alam niyang babatuhin ko siya at tantiyado niya ang galaw ng dagger ko kaya sakto lang ang pagharap niya, hindi para harapin ako, kundi saluhin ang dagger.

I knew it!

He's not just somebody in the organization! He's someone who's probably on the higher rank or position. I don't actually exactly know what rank he has or position but that's not the problem now. I don't care how important is he or whatever, he'll pay for meddling with my mission!

Maingat akong naglakad papalapit sa kanya. Hawak pa rin niya sa kamay ang dagger at doon na ang atensyon niya. Hindi siya nakatingin sa akin! How insolent is he?! Does he don't mind me at all?!

Akmang aagawin ko na sa kanya ang dagger ko nang magkatapat na kami, nang inilayo niya 'yon sa akin at idineretso sa bulsa niya. Kuyom ang kamao na binawi ang kamay mula sa bigong pagkuha ng dagger.

"Do you know me?" It was not supposed to be an arrogant tone question, but that's what it sounded.

"To mess with my previous mission and now, you holding something against me to meddle with an important mission given to me, right?" I added.

He shook his head. "Napadaan lang. I heard a gunshot and was curious what was happening here."

"This is few miles away from the city, and there's no houses in this area. Napadaan lang? You sure?"

"Alam mo naman pala, e. Bakit? May magagawa ka ba kung nakialam ako?" His voice really sounded so arrogant!

Before I could sigh first and speak, he walked past me. Mabilis akong sumunod ng tingin sa kanya at nakitang pabalik siya roon sa dalawang nakatayo lang sa pinag-iwanan ko at nakaposas. Mabilis talaga siyang maglakad kaya naman kinailangan kong tumakbo. Inagaw ko sa kanya ang posas nang siya na ang may hawak ngayon.
