Chapter 11: Violent Urges

( hi! It's the author of the story, before I begin this chapter I would like to tell you a few things. I'm treating the corruption as a zombie like virus to as where if anyone comes in contact with it the virus can enter the blood stream and infect its victims that way, and Niko can sense danger just by the change in the air.

I sighed softly picking up the now sleeping Pibby out of the library with an irritated sigh, there was something bothering me and I just couldn't put my finger on it.

I was still sore from what both Finn and Jake had done to me, and I couldn't help but blame myself for not defending myself the best I could. . . I quickly shook the thought away stopping in my tracks setting Pibby down behind a big potted vase in order to keep her safe from any sort of danger coming our way.

I took one final breath placing my final kiss onto Pibby's forehead now making my way down the empty quiet hallway in search for supplies that's when I had bumped into someone, their body was soft and squishy like a marshmallow. . .

I blushed heavily pushing myself away now fiddling with my promise ring to only realize who it was.

"Finn. . ." I muttered softly, "Why?"

The silence between us was stiff and nasty tasting, I couldn't help but try and reach out to him but soon winced in pain once I felt his nails dig into my arm.

"I still love you no matter what happens we can fight this together! We made a promise! We promised each other that we'd never lose each other when it comes to push and shove. . ."

Before I could say anything else I felt a swift punch to my stomach causing me to cough up a bit of blood, tears now sitting in my colorless orbs. Was I really going to lose another fight against someone I loved with all of my heart? I couldn't bring myself to hurt someone I loved the most.

I soon started to cry once my knees hit the solid ground looking up at him before looking back to where I hid Pibby, it seemed that she was still asleep.

I weakly got up wiping the blood from my bottom lip now standing my ground, when push comes to shove I need to protect myself and Pibby. . . I need to fight back even if it kills me and hurts Finn.

"Finn, I know you have Jake with you. . . Call him off, this is a fight between you and I. . . I don't want anyone else to chime in."

I was still weak from the punch seeing Finn call off Jake, his lifeless eyes now staring back at me. This was it, I was going to fight someone I promised to be with my entire life.

I was quick to pull out my butterfly knife, I knew it wasn't much compared to Finn's sword but it was all I had, the gift that was given to me by my soulmate will be the knife used to take his life.
