"Nikki, you look terrible. . . Are you sure you can keep going? You look like you need to rest."
"When my sister's life is on the line? I can't do that, I can't rest when I know she's in harms way. I just. . ."
I sighed softly just walking off back towards the castle not realizing Maddy had been looking at the portal we had come in.
"Wait, you need to stop using your power to keep that portal open! It's what's causing you to feel so sleepy and nauseous. You can't keep doing this to yourself, we both know that you are getting sick."
"Then what's going to happen if you guys can't get out of here without me?"
"We'll think of something, but please close the portal and save up that little bit of energy you have."
I sighed softly nodding closing the portal letting myself gasp for some air, I never needed to close the portal but this was a nice change.
"C'mon we're almost to our destination."
