"It's time, it's safe to say I'll miss this place. . ." I frowned softly, "I really can't call this place home anymore now that my partner and friend are gone. . ."
Pibby looked up at me hearing the heartbreak in my voice before grabbing onto my hand, there was a lot of things I was leaving behind, but most importantly I was leaving behind the loved ones I lost in the accident.
"Nikki. . .?"
"I'll be fine Pibby, I just need time to clear my head once we leave." I muttered softly, "I'm going to really miss this place. . . I'm going to miss what I call a home."
"Are you sure you don't wanna take a walk around before we leave?"
"I think I'll be fine, I just gotta move forward. . . I made a promise to him, that once this is all over I'll come back for him."
"A promise?"
"Yeah, once this is all over I'll come back for him and Jake. . ."
Pibby pulled on my arm leading me somewhere, not letting me ask what was going on.
This left me so confused, and somewhat worried.
"Pibby, where are we going?" I asked.
"You'll see, it'll make you feel better before we leave. I hate seeing you this way."
What do you mean? Pibby, what are you planning?
I chuckled weakly following behind her, hand gently gripped around hers.
"Here we are!" She exclaimed happily, "Do you remember this place?"
"This is the spot Finn asked me out, I forgotten how well preserved the flowers are here. . . We'd spend so much time here, laughing and sharing stories."
I sighed smiling softly walking over to a rose bush, picking a few flowers placing them into Pibby's buns.
"Come now, we must go. . . I have a feeling we aren't alone out there."
"Right, c'mon Nikki!"
I nodded softly following behind Pibby, maybe there is a little bit of hope left somewhere out there. . .
