STEVE NOW uses a hammer to take the nails off the wooden plank against the front door, they clink as they fall to the ground and the others waited nearby as Nancy helps him. "I mean, what exactly are we supposed to be looking for in this shithole?" He asked her.

"We're not sure." Nancy says, looking at him. "We just know this house is important to Vecna." She explains. "Because Max saw it in Vecna's red soup mind world?" He asked and Allison scrunched up her face at that.

"Basically."

"Great." Steve goes back to taking off the nails. "Maybe it holds a clue to where Vecna is. Why he's back. Why he killed the Creels. And how to stop him before he comes back for Max." He said and Nancy looks at Steve who glanced over at Allison and Dustin. "We don't think he's in here, do we?" Lucas then asked.

"Guess we'll find out." Max says as Steve looks at Nancy. "Ready?" He asked and she nods. "Mm-hmm." They then let down the plywood and looked at the front door. "It's locked." Steve says when he tried the door as Allison looks around then picked up a brick. "Should I knock, see if anybody's home?" Steve asked as the brick then flew between him and Nancy, right through the glass. "Hey, what the hell?!" Steve exclaimed loudly as he and Nancy turn to look at Allison standing there.

"What? The glass went inside not outside. It's not like I hit you with it, Harrington." She said as she stepped closer and reached inside. "Aren't your arms too short?" He asked, amused and she just opens the door. "Piss off." She says before walking inside. The others follow behind, holding up flashlights and Lucas tries to turn on a lamp. "Looks like someone forgot to pay their electric bill." He then says.

Dustin holds up a flashlight and Allison turns her on. "Where'd everyone get those?" Steve asked and Dustin looks at him. "Do you need to be told everything? You're not a child." He tells the nineteen year old. "Thank you." Steve says and Allison snorts, looking away.

Dustin at least had a spare flashlight, handing him the backpack and telling him where to dind one as the girls explored. "They just left everything." Nancy says as she, Robin and Allison stood in the doorway.

"I guess a triple homicide isn't good for resale value." Robin says and Allison looks at her. "Hey guys." Max says, pointing her flashlight at a grandfather clock. "You all see that, right?" She asked. "Yeah." The boys reply. "Is this what you saw?" Nancy asked the redhead, looking at her. "In your visions?" She adds.

"I mean, it's... just a clock." Robin says. "Right?" She glanced at Max before walking over to it and wiping the dust off the glass. "Like a normal old clock." She looks back at the others and Allison grimaced. "Why is this wizard obsessed with clocks? Maybe he's, like, a clockmaker or something?" Steve asked.

"I think you cracked the case, Steve." Dustin tells him and Allison looks at them, smiling faintly. "All I know is the answers are here. Somewhere." Nancy says, looking around. "Okay, everyone stay in groups of two. Robin, Allie, upstairs." Nancy tells her and the two girls salute before walking together to follow her.

"Was that a sigh?"

"I didn't sigh."

As Steve and Dustin bicker from behind the girls, Allison couldn't help but be amused as she follows the other two around the upstairs area of the house. Nancy was up ahead the two girls and talking to Steve, so Allison peered out at them, smirking a bit. "If there's a spider in there nesting in there, you're never gonna find it until it lays eggs and all the babies spill out." Robin says and Allison snickers.

"What's wrong with you?" Steve asked and Allison laughs with Robin as they walk past the pair. "Robin, seriously. Allison, don't encourage her behaviour." Steve says and Allison bumps her side into Robin's own. "You know, you're pretty funny." She says, smiling widely and Robin looks at her, chuckling.

"She made that very clear." Nancy said as she and Steve were talking about Steve and Robin. "Platonic with a capital P." Robin says and Allison chuckles, looking at her. "Why are you wingman-ing Steve so hard? I thought Wheeler was already dating someone." She says and Robin shrugs, glancing over at Nancy and Steve standing together nearby.

As Steve stammers, Allison giggles. "He can be cute sometimes." She pointed and Robin looks at her. "Growing a crush?" She asked and Allison rolls her eyes. "Or... do you already like a certain weirdo on the run from cops for a murder he didn't commit?" She stared at Allison with squinted eyes and Allison's face grows red. "What?" She says instantly.

"Eddie." Robin chuckled and Allison just pointed. "We should get back to searching the rest of the house." She said and walked away. Robin just nudged her, chuckling as she followed behind the shorter woman.

The group were now gathered by Max and Lucas downstairs, around a pulsing light in the dining room. "It's like the Christmas lights." Nancy whispers and Allison looks at her. "The Christmas lights?" She asked curiously. "Yeah, when Will was in the Upside Down. The lights... came to life." Nancy explained.

With a confused look, Allison looks up at the lights. "Vecna's here." Lucas says and looked at the others. "In this house." He added. "Just on the other side?" Allison asked, a bit confused as she looked at the others and Lucas nodded. The lights slowly dimmed down. "I think he just left the room." Robin says.

"Did he hear us?" Max asked as she looked at Steve. "Can he see us?" He asked as he looks back at her. "Headphones." Lucas whispers and Max quickly put them on. "Wait. Wait. Everyone, turn off your flashlights and spread out." Nancy says and Allison looks at her.

"That's a crazy idea!" She whisper-yells. "We're not gonna be able to see if we turn off our flash...lights." But everyone else listened to Nancy except Steve and Allison who looked at one another. "Can I go with you?" She asked quietly and he just nods. "Come on." He says and she turns off her light.

They did as told, searching the house in complete darkness and Allison's hand was basically gripping the sleeve of Steve's jacket. "I got him!" Robin suddenly shouts. "I got him!" Everyone ran into the room she was in, holding a flashlight. "I had him." She says when the light stopped and Steve's turned on. "Oh, woah." He says, walking with it.

"I think he's moving. He's moving. He's moving." He leads the way, Allison once again holding his sleeve as they rush up the stairs when it stopped. "I lost him." He says as he stops and Allison lets go of his sleeve. "No, you didn't." Max says, opening the attic door.

The group all head up into the basement, Max leading the way with Steve, Allison, Robin, Nancy, Lucas and Dustin behind. "Hold up, guys. What if he's leading us to a trap? Guys. Guys." Dustin just gets ignored.

Up in the attic, there was a single light bulb pulsing, they approach it cautiously. Dustin takes notice of his flashlight doing the same. "Flashlights." He says and they all raised theirs up, "okay, what's happening?" Steve asked as they all stood in a circle. "This weirdly feels like a cult." Allison whispers quietly.

On the other side, in the Upside Down, Vecna is floating up in the air, ready to take another victim. Which he did. At Lover's Lake, right in front of Jason and Eddie. Their lights all grow brighter and the glass shatters in their eyes so they all scream and turn away, the light bulb above also brightening and shattering.
