𝐚𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬

Chapter Twenty-Eight.

    

     "HEY, GUYS, listen," the Harrington says and Allison slowly pulls away her arm from Dustin's shoulders. "If things here start to go south, I mean, at all, abort." He says as he glanced between three before finally looking at Dustin and Allison glanced at the two to her left. "Okay? Draw the attention of the bats. Keep 'em busy for a minute or two. We'll take care of Vecna." Steve then adds.

Allison glanced back at him as their eyes meet for a split second. "Don't try to be cute or be a hero or anything." He says as he glanced at Eddie next and Allison furrows her brows. "Okay? You guys are just--" "decoys." Dustin cut him off a bit too quickly. "Don't worry. You can be the hero, Stevie." Allison says as she softly nods, smirking slightly.

"Absolutely. I mean, look at us. We are not heroes." Eddie said, glancing at Allison and Dustin as he spoke before smiling at Steve who glanced down then back up at him. He glanced at the other two, stare lingering on Dustin before turning around to walk away.

"Hey, Steve?" Eddie stepped forward and Allison looks at him right away. There's a small pause, a stare shared between the two as Eddie glanced over at Allison then back at Steve who glanced away and then back at Eddie. "Make him pay." Eddie says and Steve nods before turning back to the girls.

Robin sent a small wave at Allison who smiled softly, waving at her softly. Good luck, she mouthed and Robin smiles back faintly as she walked with Nancy and Steve. As the other trip walked off, the three got to work, mostly the two boys as Allison watched and told them what to do and where to put what.

Then it was done, metal scrapes or plywood on all the windows and a cage around the back entrance they were gonna go in through, the amps were all set up on the roof and ready. The two boys back up to stand on either side of Allison who had her arms crossed. "Not bad." Eddie smiled. "Not bad at all." Dustin said as Allison nods in agreement.

"Now for the fun part..."

Allison and Dustin follow Eddie to his bedroom where he stops, slowing down. "Jesus Chr..." His voice falters. "It's like..." He starts as he walks towards his guitar on the wall. "She was destined for an alternate dimension." He says and Allison smiles at how dorky her best friend-potential boyfriend can be.

"What do you say Henderson? Allie?" He picks up the guitar off the mirror and slowly turns around. "Are you two ready for the most metal concert in the history of the world?" He asked and Allison grinned widely. "That a rhetorical question?" Dustin asked him.

"Let's do it."

Up on the roof, Dustin and Allison waited after Eddie set up the amps and hooked up his guitar, when the radio gone off. "She's in. Move onto phase three." The Henderson quickly picks it up. "Copy that. Initiating phase three." He says into it before plugging in the two cords Eddie gave him to be in charge of. "Let's hope they hear this." He says as the amp whines to life and Allison adjusted the knob Eddie told her to before sending a thumbs up his way as Eddie just nodded, reaching up.

He rips off his necklace with the guitar pick, "Chrissy, this is for you." He then yelped as he plays the first cord and got into the song. Master of Puppets. Allison's eyes light up with excitement as she smiled widely. The two watchers head bang along to the music and smiling and looking at each other giddily.

The way he plays guitar so effortlessly had both Dustin and Allison in a trance, watching him intently and smiling. The Henderson picks up his pair of binoculars, looking off in the distance. "Eddie!" He shouted, catching his attention. "We gotta lockdown in T-minus 30 seconds!" He adds, holding up three fingers and a zero symbol at him and Eddie nods.

"T-minus 20!"

Eddie nods again and then began playing the part that made Allison's heart thump faster and a wider grin spread across her face. She loves this song. Well, really, she loves any song by Metallica. "T-minus 10!" Dustin shouted and Allison just kept her eyes on Eddie's fast moving fingers along the guitar strings, playing his heart out. "Five!" Dustin shouts.

"One!"

"Let's go!" Dustin pulls up Allison who rushed up to her feet, rushing after him down the side of the trailer where they jump down onto a truck they then jump down from as the youngest repeatedly shouted at them to move, move, move, rushing into the gated fence around the back door which Eddie closed quickly behind them, "come on!" He turned to Allison, putting an arm around her waist.

The two rush in after Dustin, Allison shutting the door behind them as the young teen turns to Eddie. "Dude!" He exclaimed and the older looks at him. "Most metal ever!" He screamed and they both started jumping up and down in excitement, holding onto each other's arms. They kept screaming excitedly as Allison stared at the pair, a little taken back.

Eddie stopped suddenly, hitting Dustin's arm. "I mean, it was cool..." He says and sniffled, looking away as Allison just slowly grinned. "It was cool? Ed, it was super awesome! I love that song!" She gushed, most likely sounding like some groupie fawning over a band but she didn't even care. It was Eddie.

And Eddie was incredible. He blushes, hiding his face with his hair as he chuckled and Dustin was sending him a knowing grin. "You're right, Allie. It was super awesome!" He said and nudged Eddie who shrugged. "No biggie... it was, like, super easy for me." He said and Allison rolled her eyes. "That song came out like two or three weeks ago, did you like spend all your time-- you spent all your time practicing it, didn't you?" She asked and he just blushed then turned to look down the hall. "We gotta go." He avoids answering the question.

the sad part with my robin fic is val is close with lucas and max so i kind of want her with them in the final battle, then i also want her with robin and steve and nance bc her girlfriend is robin and her bff is steve, but then i also want her with eddie and dustin bc her trauma buddy is eddie (witnessing chrissy die together) and also her lil bestie who she danced with at the snow ball <3 (yeah it was her instead of nancy in my fic bc i make the rules. idc) so I'm still stuck wondering how to write that one
but anyway this one's almost over!! ☹️

+ i think i'm ready now to continue this fic. so here's an update <3
