1 month later,
It was the second week of October, and time for the annual family trip to the pumpkin patch. Bucky came in with Makayla as Sarah was passing out pizza slices. When Maxie saw her and how she was dressed she knew that Bucky invited her to come.
"You know what mom, Im not really hungry and I don't feel like going now." She said
"Honey this is something you use to love growing up. What has gotten into you?" Sarah said
"I just dont want to go okay?" Maxie said and walked out.
"But Max.." Jenni said
After they ate pizza, Bucky went up to her room.
"Get your coat and boots on. You can't avoid me and Makayla forever Maxie." He said
She just ignored him with her back to him.
"Maxie?" He said as he walked to her bed.
"Leave me alone just leave " she said with tear filled eyes.
"Maxie.." he said as he saw a tear.
She pushed him away when he went to wipe it. "Don't touch me just leave." She said as she wiped it.
Steve was listening in the hall.
"Maxie Ive said Im sorry but you won't accept my apology. What is it going to take for you to forgive me?" He said as he walked out.
After the pumpkin patch, Bucky caught up to Steve.
"Hey man, we never did set up that double date you cancelled on. Do you want to do it next weekend?" He said
"No we have plans." Steve said
"Its my grandma's birthday so we have to be there." Nat chimed in.
"Oh okay.." Bucky said
"Well we can just do another night, right babe?" Makayla said as she hugged his arm.
"Yeah.." Bucky said as he started to get the feeling that Steve was lying.
