Two months later,
"Happy birthday my sweet grandson." Eugenie Barnes said as everyone came through the front door.
When Bucky came through she hugged, kissed his cheek as said hello to Makayla. When they all sat down for dinner. James Sr held up a glass.
"Wait..James honey. Sarah where is Maxine?" Eugenie said
"Oh she had other plans so she isn't coming." Sarah said
James Sr cleared his throat, and said "To our grandson James for his 18th birthday, and to his enlistment today. We are so proud of the young man you are becoming my boy." James Sr said
Everyone clinked their glasses as they said cheers, and Bucky said "thank you." He could see the hurt on Jenni's face that she was losing her best friend.
The next day, Maxie came in with Taco Bell as she went up to her room. He came into her room
"Where were you last night it was my birthday?" He said
Maxie just ignored him as she ate her food and texted on her phone.
"Maxie? Did you tell your brother about Hawaii?" He said
Maxie just ignored him more as she got a text from Payton.
"Hey bitch! Be ready in 30! Im coming to get you there is another party an hour away!."
"Im in!" Was her reply.
She finished her tacos, quickly changed in the bathroom, Bucky was still standing in her room.
"Where are you going now?" He said
"Why can't you take the hint, I don't want to talk to you. No I didn't tell Steve maybe he realized what a selfish asshole you really are James now Im leaving." She said and walked out.
15 minutes later Payton pulled up and she took off. When she arrived at the party Kandi ran over to her, "come with me.." she said
She went to the basement where Tyson was hanging out with his best friend, who happens to br Kandi's big brother Mason Bennett.
"Well isn't she a darling." Mason said
"This is my big brother Mason. And of course you already know TJ." Kandi said
"Get this girl a drink, and the things that always get the party going." Mason said as he pulled Maxie into his lap.
Mason never let her leave his side as they chilled in the basement.
