8 weeks later,
"Steve who is that girl?" Maxie said as they saw Bucky kissing a girl.
"Oh thats Makayla, he's been seeing her for almost a month now." Steve said
"I've noticed." She said in a low tone.
"Maxie you okay?" Nat said as she walked to Steve's car.
"Whats up with her Steve?" Nat said
"I don't know. She has been real depressed over the summer." Steve said as he kissed her.
That night during supper, Bucky came in late.
"Sorry Makayla and I hung out for a bit." He said as he sat down to eat.
"Its fine son, we just sat down." James said before he said grace over the food.
Halfway through dinner, Maxie said "Mom, can I go live with dad?" She said
Bucky looked at her.
"Maxine you know that answer is no. We have a iron clad court custody agreement." Sarah said
"But mom please.." she said
"Maxine Joanna the answer is no." Sarah said
Maxie threw her napkin on the table, "I HATE IT HERE! I WISH YOU NEVER MARRIED JAMES! I DONT WANT TO BE HERE ANYMORE!!" she snapped as she stood up.
As she started to leave the room, "MAXINE JOANNA ROGERS YOU GET BACK RIGHT HERE NOW AND APOLOGIZE " Sarah yelled
"NO!" Maxie yelled as she slammed her door.
She laid up in her bed and cried, Bucky came in to check on her.
"Maxie?" He said as he came over to her bed.
"Go away, I don't want to see you." She said
He made her look at him, "leave me alone." She whispered
"I know that tonight's out burst has nothing to do with my dad. It has to do with me." He said
"Just leave me alone." She said
He sighed, and started to walk out. As he got to her door he saw in her trash can her bead set he got her. He looked down as he walked out.
