"Hey Sarah is that Joe?" Peggy Sue Lang said as they were walking back to the hospital from lunch.
Sarah looked over to see him sitting out in front of the cafe, with Hazelynn Cortez. Sarah walked over to them when she saw him being to flirty and kissing her cheek.
"Joseph!" Sarah said as she picked up his glass of water and splashed it on his face.
"Sarah?! What the hell is the matter with you?" Joe said as he cleaned up the water.
"We will discuss this later I have to assist Ivan in surgery in 20." She said
Later on that night Steve and Maxie Jo were watching tv when Joe came home. Sarah came out of the laundry room.
"You two go on upstairs and get ready for bed, its a school night." She said
Steve turned off the tv, as Maxie said goodnight to everyone. Once the kids were gone upstairs Sarah walked over to Joe.
"How long?" She said
"How long what?" He said as he went to get a beer.
"How long have you been having an affair?" She said
He sighed, "For about a year and half. Hazelynn became my scrub nurse Sarah when Melissa quit on me." He said
Sarah walked over to him, and slapped him across the face. "HOW COULD YOU?! WE HAVE BEEN TOGETHER SINCE HIGHSCHOOL!! WE HAVE 3 KIDS TOGETHER!" She snapped.
Steve and Maxie's younger sister Brylee was already sound asleep while Steve and Maxie heard the whole fight.
Sarah finally said "I want you to leave Joe, pack your stuff and leave. Im filing for divorce in the morning." She said
"Okay." Joe said
He packed his stuff, and he left after saying goodbye to Steve and Maxie who were still awake. He kissed Brylee's head as she slept. Sarah cried as she folded laundry before heading to bed.
Meanwhile at the Barnes household, Winnie came home to see Bucky was still up watching ESPN with James. She just shook her head it was almost midnight, as she went upstairs she checked on the other kids. Bucky's younger sister Jenni was asleep but his older brother by four years was missing.
She came back downstairs, "Where's Tyson?" She said
"Oh he said he was going to a friend's house." James said
"Buchanan get in bed." Winnie said
"But mom they are talking about the Broncos up coming season.." he said
"I don't care its midnight and you have school tomorrow!." Winnie snapped
He groaned as he got up, "Winnie he could of waited ten more minutes." James said
She just shook her head at him, "What Winnie? What have I done today?" He said
"Its a school night James, they shouldn't be sleeping over at friends and staying up till midnight." She said
"Winnie its Thursday, and they can nap when they get home tomorrow if they are tired." He said
"This is the stuff that makes me angry James.." she said
"Because Im the parent that lets them do fun things." He said
"No! Because you let them run wild and I have to be bad cop." She said
"Again with this metaphor." He said as he slipped on his shoes.
"Where are you going?" She said
"To sleep at the hospital, I can't be around you like this." He said as he grabbed his keys and left.
Three days later, James and Winnie couldn't stop fighting so they filed for divorce. Tyson didn't take the news well, and packed a bag and run off at 14 years old. When he had been missing for a month Bucky and Jenni both were put therapy due to the divorce and their missing brother.
