Three days later
Sarah, James, Steve, Nat, Jenni and Bucky were having a movie night. Bucky and Makayla had gotten back from their short honeymoon In Aspen Colorado the day before. She was out with her mom for a mother/daughter.
They came across Maxie's favorite movie Clueless, "Oh that reminds me I need to call and check in with Max." Sarah said
She called her former sister in law Melody, "Hey Sarah.." Melody said
"Hey, I was calling to check in on Maxie.." she said.
"Isn't she with you Sarah?" Melody said
"No she said she was spending labor day weekend wirh you." Sarah said
"Call Joe and make sure cause I haven't spoken to Maxie since Christmas." Melody said
"Okay." Sarah said
Sarah put her phone on speaker as she stood up and called Joe. Who was now living in NY and about to set down to eat with Hazel, Rylan and Ella.
"Sarah?" Joe said
"Please tell me that she is with you?" Sarah said and that had everyone's attention.
"Brylee or Maxie?" Joe said
"Maxie! The one that has been giving me the most trouble. She told me she was going to NY to see your sister and I just talked to Mel and she said she hasnt spoken to Maxie since Christmas." Sarah said
"Sarah she isn't here." Joe said
Jenni pulled out her phone, and tried calling Maxie's phone it just kept going to voicemail.
"Her social media accounts have been suspended and wiped." Jenni said
Joe sighed, "We'll be on the next plane out Sarah. And this wouldn't have happened if you had let her come to NY to live with me when she wanted.' Joe said before hanging up
James called his older boys and his son in law to be at the house first thing in the morning.
