Selene: Caught a Cheater

Selene POV

It's been 3 days after I met Zacht and now we're both going to a small cafe that I often go to during my day offs. I told him that their snacks and drinks are the best so he wanted to try it  with me. I wanted to invite some of my friends too but they have a mission today including Lux.

We entered the café and sat down at one of the vacant seats and the waiter gave us the menu. "I would like a large cappuccino frappe and a slice of caramel cake please!" I ordered then I look at Zacht who is still looking at the menu.

"I'll get the strawberry cake and some large Caramel Oreo Frappe." Zacht ordered and the waiter said our orders to reconfirm before bowing his head and leaves.

"I gotta say this café is quite nice and relaxing." He said and I let out a smile.

"Hehe~ of course! I wouldn't recommend this place if its not good!"

"Hmm... we only met a few days but it feels like I've known you for so long." He said as he rests his chin on his hand while staring at me.

"Guess that's because we easily got comfortable with each other?" I asked as I chuckled.

"Yeah~ oh right! I heard that someone from Adia will come visit here and introduce a new device to the academics here." He said so it got me interested on what device it is. Oooh! I wonder if it's something cool!

"Really?! Where did you got that info?! Are you a spy?" I joked and he just chuckled and took out something in his pocket and showed me a weird looking gadget. I tilt my head as I stare at it cluelessly.

"I got the info from here. It's called a phone. With this, you can easily communicate with people from afar and also gain information from the media. But of course, not all information here is true. Some are false but there are lots of entertainment too. It's a lot faster than using the blue or yellow bird but if you don't have any signal then it's useless for communication- uh uhmm... your face is getting closer-" Zacht stopped and I can see a slight blush from him as he looks at me but I didn't care! I was staring at the thing he's holding!

"That's so interesting! I want one!" I glee in excitement and he slightly laughed at my enthusiasm. "You'll get one once it's out. Then we'll be able to contact each other even if Im back in Adia." He said making me look at him with wide eyes.

"REALLY?! I CAN ALSO CONTACT YOU FROM THAT FAR?!" I gasped in shock. Just how strong is this gadget?!

Zacht nod his head "Yep! And I can receive your message instantly."

My eyes lit up to what I heard "Then that's faster than a blue bird!!! I doubt even a blue bird can get there!! And definitely faster than sending letters via airship carrier!!"

"Exactly but like I said, it needs a signal in order for people to communicate. Blue birds and Yellow birds in lagendia are still usable in some situations." He said.

"So you got that information from that little gadget there? But you said some info might be false so how are you sure that the info you know is true?" I asked him.

"Oh I got the info from a legit site that I know. Their news are mostly true and that's proof that it's trusted. But if its just some random information you see here without knowing or a proof that it's legit then don't always believe what it says here. Most are just for entertainment."

"Ooohh! So it's like a roulette full of tea!"

"You can say that."

Our conversation got interrupted when the waiter arrived with our frappes and cakes. My eyes twinkle in joy as I see my food! We start to eat while continue talking bout stuff until I heard a familiar voice from behind me. I slowly turn my head to look who it was and it was Felicity with another guy! Seems like she didn't noticed me because my back was facing her but who's that guy? Hmmm... gasp! Could it be I'm witnessing a two timer?! Wait wait- I should not assume real quick, what if they're just friends? Or a relative or something? Hmm... they seem to be having a casual conversation-
