Con unlocked the door, stepping inside.
The dingy apartment was worn-down and small, but it was his... One of the only things he actually owned. He huffed as the cat floated around him a bit, welcoming him home, before loudly meowing at him.
"I JUST got back! Relax, you little shite! I'll get you your damn food... You have no idea what a rough day I had... Whatever. You want to just get some sushi...?" When Con's tired gaze landed on the cat, his eyes held... No emotion. He was numb, and the cat knew why, nodding silently.
The cat may be magic, but no, he can't talk. He could only listen... Understand.
Con ordered some sushi and plopped on the couch, waiting for the delivery.
"..."
"...Do you think...?"
"...No. Never mind."
The cat rested his head on Con's stomach, not being able to comfort his owner with words. Con had a habit of talking to the cat, even if the other couldn't answer properly. But, for Con... Just knowing the cat understood was enough.
Con's phone went off and he picked it up.
"Hello...? What? ...No, why? ...what the hell do you mean?! ...No! That bastard probably planned it behind my back! ...Wh- I DON'T CARE! Dammit... I'm SORRY, but... Jaysus... Yeah, fine, bye."
The cat winced as Con yelled into the phone, but knew it was probably well deserved.
Knock, Knock, Knock!
The cat floated over to the coffee table and grabbed his owner's wallet, handing it over as they got to the door.
"Stop floating around, it's not normal." Con whispered to his cat before answering the door. As Con paid for the sushi, the cat wove around his legs and meowed. Shutting the door, Con chuckled, "should've named you Sushi."
Con left all the sushi on the table for the cat to eat, not hungry after what he had to do at work today. 'I wonder how the Septics are...?'

"VHERE ZHE HELL ARE MY BOYS?!"
Henrik shouted in worry-fueled anger as he called Marvin for the twelfth time in the past hour. "HELLO! I'm Marvin, Marvin the MAGNIFECENT! And, unfortunately, I cannot come to the phone right now! Please leave a voicemail, I'll get back to you soon~!" The magician didn't pick up, AGAIN.
"The police said they never went to the mall... Or, at least, didn't get INSIDE the mall." Chase frowned, slightly shaking as he tried to keep calm. "But... They teleported..." Robbie whined in fear, hugging a Sam plush close to his chest. "Ugh... This is bad... How long ago was it, again? It's been more than five hours, I know that much..." Chase started to pace, making the doctor even more nervous.
"Zhe police are ALWAYS USELESS vith ego situations!" Henrik threw his arms up in the air. "Hey, now! We can't lose spirit! We have to believe they're okay!" JJ signed, then pat Robbie on the head to comfort him. "NOT HELPING, JJ!" The fatherly egos yelled in unison.
"Have we called Sean yet? Maybe he knows something? Or Dark?" Jameson suggested, trying his best to stay positive. Jackie would tell them all to remember PMA, if he were here. "Robbie... Robbie should've... Stopped..." The zombie hugged the mute's leg, quietly blaming himself. Jameson sighed and bent down to hug Robbie, rubbing circles on his back.
They called Sean-he was at the store- who started to panic, himself, hearing the news. "I'll be there in about half an hour- don't let anyone else out of your sight!" No one knew where Jackie or Marvin was... They wouldn't pick up the phone... They didn't enter the mall... Anti had been silent the last week. They had all drawn the same conclusion.
Then, they got a call from Dark.
