Chapter Twenty-Seven- Fear

The next day...

Mark had gotten a call that morning about Sean and the rest of the Septics disappearing... And Dark was PISSED.

They had to make a move NOW! He already saw it coming... They would take all of the Ipliers, too... But WHY?! He understood that Anti wanted the Septics dead, but how did any of this benefit Actor?! Was that bastard already so crazy he couldn't tell that he didn't NEED to kill a bunch of children for Dark to snap? Or was he just doing it for FUN?! And that son of a bitch calls himself a hero...

Everyone was by the pool when it happened. Dark was so upset, he called Con right then and there! But Con spoke before Dark could even get a word in...

"Heya... Don't worry, Dark... I'm already on it. The plan has been set into action... Be prepared for anything... Just remember to stay calm... We have them in our grasp."

Con sounded so... Dead inside. 

Dark felt bad, knowing his friend was probably thinking about the phone call from the other day... But now was not the time for that.

"Alright. Be careful out there. Text me when we have them."

"Alright. Bye."

"Goodbye."

Dark hung up, his anger subsided and instead... He felt uneasy. Con wasn't usually like this; he was usually so... Happy? Chaotic? Therapeutic? Doesn't matter... He's so many things... Just not... THIS. He sounded so depressed and... Merciless. The way he said that they had the bastards where they wanted them... Reminded Dark that no matter what... No matter what Actor did... No matter who Dark saved... He would always be the villain.

And Con's tone really brought that out. Con was his partner, after all.

"Huh. What was that about?" Bing squinted at the phone, just as confused as Dark. "Oh! Does this mean we're getting our uncles and the Septics back?!" Yan bounced on his heels, excited. "Affirmative. The words used in the call suggest that Con has them right where he wants them... However, probability of success... Unconfirmed." Google frowned, unsure.

"Whatever the case... It's happening soon. I suggest everyone heads inside and bunker down in the theatre... It's the biggest secluded space we have. I'll patrol the property and put up wards to ensure everyone's safety-"

"Too late~!" 

A hoarse voice came from above, causing Dark to whirl around and growl defensively.

"Heya, Darky~!" Anti was up on their roof, grinning maliciously... But something was off. Heavy bags hung under his eyes and their corners were tinged with red, having obviously been crying. But that wasn't what was concerning.

What was slightly concerning was the fact that there was a hand mark on the glitch's neck, deep and dark in color... Like someone had been choking him.

"No wonder he's fucking insane... Obvious signs of abuse right there... I'm sorry, we're all going to die." Dr. Iplier stated the obvious, adding on a remix of his favorite line.

"Heheheh~! Damn right you are!" Anti snarled and jumped off of the roof. At first, Dark thought the glitch was coming for HIM... But then, Anti smirked and glitched away, disappearing. "The Host doesn't know where the glitch is and tries desperately to use his power to find him!"

"But The Host has no such luck until Anti SUDDENLY APPEARS BEHIND-!"

Everything seemed to go in slow motion for Dark.

He reached out, screaming as another Iplier was taken from him.

But not a brother like Illinois or King... No, this time...

This time, it was a son.

There were cries of outrage and shock, but one stood out above the rest... A cry of fear.

Dark let out his own call as he lunged for his son, being just a second too late...

"GOOGLE!!!!"

The world seemed to crash around Dark as his son cried out in terror.

Google was usually so calm and collected... Pretending not to have emotions.

But in this moment...

Not even he could pretend not to be scared.

"DAD!!"

And he was gone.

Anti took him.

And Actor had him.
