The first day back to school after winter break was mostly uneventful. It was jumping back into school work and getting used to the schedule again, but it wasn't anything hard. KT was happy with her new courses that came with the new semester, glad to be out of her Health & Wellness class. She thought it was a little redundant, to her at least. She passed with flying colors because she knew almost everything that the teacher taught.

The perks of being the heiress to a sportswear company. Afterall, you have to know the demographic you're catering to. It definitely helps to be among those people.

She smiled as she walked to her locker, the end of the day in sight. She had one more class to go to and then the rest of the afternoon was hers. Since no homework was given on the first day back, that was reserved for day two, she could do whatever her heart desired.

Approaching her locker, she was happy to find Eli already there. It wasn't the first time they had seen each other that day, but every time she saw him, she smiled. She came up behind him and wrapped her arms around him, giggling as he lightly jumped.

"It's just me," she said happily, resting her chin on his shoulder.

He looked at her, a warm tint to his cheeks. He still smiled at her, happy to see her. "Hey..."

"Hey," she echoed back sweetly. She pecked his lips before bringing her arms back to her body and stepping around him to get to her locker. This was the first time since that morning that they got to really see each other and talk. "How has your day been?"

He shrugged, slipping his backpack into his locker. "Alright, I guess. Nothing too exciting."

She nodded as she opened her locker. She exchanged her backpack for a pencil case and quickly closed it, leaning her shoulder against the door as she watched Eli with soft, admiring eyes. "I get that. The first day back is always so boring yet tiring at the same time."

He smiled at that, nodding in agreement as he shut his locker. He turned to her, his hands slipping into the pockets of his jeans. He was wearing one of his sweaters, a gray one that looked oh so warm and welcoming. I just wanna be in that sweater... with him, wrapped up by him, I don't care how really. I just want him and that sweater to keep me warm.

"So, what class do you have next?" he asked.

She blinked, coming out of her little daydream. "Art Foundations with Samson."

He smiled at her. "Me too."

KT bolted upright and put her hand out. "Oh! Let's walk there together!"

She giggled, all too excited at the prospect of sharing a class with him. He took her hand and their fingers interlaced, slipping right into place like molds made for each other. She couldn't contain her smile as they began the short walk to the art hall. He similarly found himself unable to stop smiling, though it was mostly from watching her.

When they arrived at Samson's room, they discovered that they could pick any seats they wanted, so naturally they sat together. She played with his fingers, softly telling him about one of her other classes as the room steadily filled with more students. It was such a simple act, but it made both of them smile; it was that warmth she found with him, even if it was the smallest way she could touch him, it still brought her that fine and fuzzy warmth of their love.

"Good afternoon, class," a cheery voice called from the front of the room. Ms. Samson was a short, curvy woman with glasses and a big smile. She always seemed to be in a good mood, no matter what time of day it was. "Welcome to Art Foundations, the course you'll need if you're planning on taking any other art classes moving forward. I'm Ms. Samson, but we don't have to be so formal. You can call me Rebeca, Beca, Becky, or anything of the like."
