Summers we would run around,
And jump off the dock.
Who would have know that those very moments,
wouldn't have lasted as long as we thought.
We would crack jokes,
And buy snacks from Mr. Spence.
We should have gotten way more cavities,
with all the money we spent.
When we were good and tired from those ocean days,
To Mama's house we came.
Our Mama's house was always warm,
with endless amounts of food on it's way.
Oh how I mis those summer days.
Life went on,
more and more of those summers we spent apart.
We got older....
Adulthood came to a start.
But no matter how many days I don't see you,
while waters keep us part.
You will always be my peanut cousin,
In mind and in heart.
