Rusted atop, a musty blue all around
Jerk when the stops complete
With a bumpy shakey sound
The wheel burns immediately
Upon touch
No radio to bump to when things
Get rough
Just a couple of seatbelts that never
Want to click
No AC no digital clock that turns with a
Tick
Just the forever reliability to get you
From one place to the other
Since the moment you fell into the
Hands of my grandmother
Clank and click everywhere we go
waiting on the day you finally explode
And I clenched your seats when my
Cousin went speeding down the road
You were patient when every other car
Began to die
And waited for all of us so in you we could
Learn how to drive
And yes we couldn't wait for the new car to arrive but...
This one's to you old Toyota; everyone's first ride.
