I have this recurring dream of the two of us in the dark
Unafraid because I was by your side
Standing and not wondering,
Knowing that your side was mine.
The whole space was filled of you
Your smell of salt water
The brushes of your hair
And the pillows that is your lips
So you see why I had no reason to be afraid
Though there were no words,
Lied evidence of a stillness.
That came with every breath we took.
I had to once breathe on my own,
Nervous that I would run out of breath.
Until you came along,
And now we breathe in tandem.
Life preserving one another
I'm not scared of these things.
Grass to earth to we are here
I go to sleep knowing that you are near.
