"Are you all right?" Harley's reassuring and comforting voice asks.

"Yeah I'm fine. Air hockey is also very special to me and Cole ." I explain with a slight smile on my face as we drove back to Harleys.

When we arrive, Harley grabs the game from the backseat of his car and sprints inside the house faster than his legs can carry him, making me laugh. I trail behind him and assist him in setting it up.

"The fan requires batteries to function." He says this while walking to his kitchen and searching through drawers. He appears to be very serious in his search for the batteries, as his tongue protrudes from the side of his mouth and his eyes are wide and focused.

"You're acting as if it's a life or death situation." I burst out laughing as I walked over to help him.

"It is!" He defends himself and eventually holds up the batteries he's been looking for.

I could almost hear Harley's little heart beating so fast as he runs back to the air hockey table and inserts the batteries.

"Yes!" he exclaims, raising both arms above his head before setting the strikers and puck on the table.

"I'm going to win." Harley says confidently.

I raise an eyebrow and fold my arms at him. "Are you certain? If you lose, you have to get me ice cream."

Cole comes to mind right away. I hope he's okay.

I return to reality as Harley scores his first point as a result of my lapse in concentration. 'It's game time.' I think to myself and grab the puck before striking it; he dodges, and I strike again with more force, winning that round.

"I swear you cheated on that last round." Harley says as he takes a small tub of strawberry cheesecake ice cream from his freezer.

"Or you're just bad at the game." I defend taking a spoonful of the dessert.

Harley doesn't have any ice cream; instead, he watches me with a smirk on his face and his arms crossed across his chest, highlighting his muscular biceps. He notices me looking at his muscles and laughs before leaning forwards, his face inches from mine. I take the last spoonful of ice cream and place the tub behind me before moving my hands up Harley's arms and stopping at his shoulders.

"Do you realise how much of a distraction you are?" He says this while placing his hands on my waist, closing the gap between our bodies.

I cup both of his cheeks and inch in closer to kiss him, unsure of how to react or what to say. His big hands cover the surface of my lower back as he closes his eyes and tightens his grip on my waist. As he gently lifts me and places me on the kitchen counter, I deepen the kiss by running my hands through his hair.

"You are so beautiful." Harley whispers in my ear after breaking from the kiss.

"Is this how we spend our days together?" I question while tilting my head to the side.

"I suppose so." He responds and takes a step away from me before placing the empty tub of ice cream in the bin.

"Well, I'm going to call Cole and figure out... tomorrow." I sigh and reach for my phone, which is on the counter. Harley nods and walks over to stand besides me, rubbing gentle circles on my back to soothe me.

Cole responds within two rings. "Hello, I was about to call you." His tone was gentle and soothing.

"What are your plans for tomorrow? I won't be able to go to work if F-Finn is there." I stutter as the name rolls off my tongue, flashbacks racing through my mind, making me want to vomit.

"I made him leave." Cole says in a raspy low tone.

"H-he resigned?"

"You don't have to worry about running into him, and it's up to you whether you want to press charges."

"I'm not going to press charges because I know this isn't the Finn I remember." I say this as I notice Harley's stunned expression.

"Well, since I packed your work clothes, I recommend staying at Harley's one more night." Cole asserts.

I finish the conversation while avoiding eye contact with Harley, who is enraged. I return my phone to the counter, and Harley begins to speak.

"You're not going to press charges? Audrey, are you out of your mind?" He yells as he runs his hands through his hair.

"No, I'm not, as long as I'm not working with him, and the cops won't believe me anyway." I snap.

"Whatever, I wish you had mentioned it sooner. Finn is deserving of hell."

"You don't know him as well as I do. He did sexually assault me, but I know it's killing him on the inside."

Harley says nothing but rolls his eyes and walks into his bedroom, slamming the door behind him. I sighed as I pursued him, opening the door to find Harley seated on the edge of the bed, head in hands.

"I'm sorry." I begin. "I'm just as angry as you are, but you have to respect my decision."

I take a seat next to Harley, and he raises his head to look at me. "I-I do, but after you left that room, you never saw his face."

"You never told me anything about what happened."

"There's a good reason for that." He tries to avoid the subject, but I insist.

"Please tell me what happened, Harley." I say, taking his hands in mine.

Harley leans in towards me and sighs before responding. "He had a monster-like grin on his face. I punched him repeatedly, his blood all over my hands and his face. He just laughed like a lunatic, like a maniac."

"Did he say anything at all?" I inquired under my breath, shocked by what I was just told.

"No."

I could tell he was lying, but I'm not going to press him for an answer today. Instead, I hug him, nuzzling my head into the crook of his neck, his warm arms holding me in place. As I grip his shoulders, a single tear drops down the apple of my cheek.

"Shh, let's not bring him up again; instead, let's watch a movie and do face masks again." He makes an attempt to lighten the mood, and it works. I laugh and sit up, wiping the droplets away with my hands before changing into my pyjamas and meeting Harley on the bed, who had skin care products in front of us.

"Is this your subtle way of telling me I have bad skin?" I question him because I already know the answer.

"What? No way! I hope it doesn't come across that way." He defends himself.

Time flew by as we lay in bed, still awake but staring out the window. I turned around to see Harley smiling; his smile was bright and genuine, and it made my heart soften. I want to tell him I'm falling in love with him, but the thoughts of 'What if he doesn't feel the same?' or 'What if he will never speak to me again?' slither through my mind. I'm more concerned that this feels too good to be true and that we'll only be together for a short time.
